Nope... they participated in the purse bid as well... only they offered less then Sauerland in $777.777... it's not 'they don't want responsibility' but they didn't offered enough money. With Sauerland's offer Kessler will make close to $700k, and the fight might land in Denmark... so what responsibility? Making a mandatory is a responsibility, if they don't want to take it, vacate the belt... even if it's a bad mismatch...

 

the boring insignificant career of the Danish Pastry thats what it has come to, a refuge overseas getting paid to fight cans. Who can blame these hype jobs for milking their paper titles when they get paid so well to fight just about anyone.

Actually it was the WBA that picked Haussler not Sauerland.

 

Haussler sucks, this is another horrible paper "title" fight for Kessler that won't get him a sniff of American primetime TV.
