Froch has a mandatory - if not Taylor then it will be someone else like Stieglitz.

Froch also had a perforated eardrum, damaged rib, and a cut BEFORE the Pascal fight. Consider those injuries after the fight - he has to have an opration, doesn't he? recovery period, etc.

No way does this fight happen in Feb!

actually froch also had a broken leg, his nails were all wrong from biting them, and last but not least, he couldnt see well, due to being cross-eyed

Those injuries are undocumented... He would never had gone ahead with the Pascal fight if he had said injuries. It's all hype coming from the Froch camp.

I've tried breaking a rib ... if his ribs had been broken there is no way in held he could fight...

If they where "just" bend it could be done - although it would hurt ... but then again the pain from the shots he took to the head proberbly quickly took over ;)

Personally I'd like to see Bute vs Andrade II and Froch vs Taylor, the winners then squaring off, and the winner fighting Kessler, who can fight Bika or someone while he's waiting.

Of course the problem with this is that at the end of it you'd have an undisputed champ with all the belts but no credible threat left to fight

why would he want to worm out that mando against taylor?

there is way more money in the taylor fight and he is a bigger name in the usa which is were froch wants to make it and kessler is a much more risky fight

It'll be Froch v Taylor, but I think Kessler would easily beat Froch. Actually the more I think about it the more I think he'd tear him a new arsehole.

Well Kessler is the topdog atm in SMW ... and a win against Kessler would get Froch much closer to a fight with Calzaghe - a hudge money-fight if made.

It could also be that Froch is one of the few fighters that actually just want to prove to the world that they are the best...

or it could be PR-smoke - showing the world that he is willing to fight the very best. Froch has built his career as much on his mouth as on his actual fights :D

if you were calzaghe would you seriously fancy a fight in germany considering sven okke repuatation, past examples of horrible fight scoring, bias and the reputation of the german judges?

If the money where right - of course.

Problem is that neither fighter/promotor even tried to make it happen.

The new generation seems promising on this point ... Kessler already fought in Australia, England and Germany ... and Taylor has also said he is ready to go to Europe...

Actions should be judged on this rather than words.

Calzaghe used to say he wanted to go to the US or that he was willing to fight Ottke in Germany all the time. Taylor saying that he would go to Europe is no more than that at the moment.

Kessler has already fought in the UK, USA, Australia and Germany, including against a top P4P fighter in front of a 65,000 home crowd. That deserves respect. Words don't.

There are dozens of reasons this will not happen anytime soon.
