Kessler, get on a plane to nottingham

  1. No more ****ing about, pricing yourself out

I'm starting to think the viking "warrior" Just doesn't fancy another 12 rounds with froch

The guy is being offered a world title shot, on a plate

    What's the hold up?

The Froch fight took a lot out of him, he knows that. Froch believes he put him on the shelf for a while. I think Mikkel doesn't fancy it after how Froch dealt with Bute.

    Froch wins the rematch IMO.

Can't blame Kessler for wanting daft amounts of money, He probably knows Carl is the favorite.

What exactly was Kessler offered? I wouldn't be surprised if the offer wasn't that great. Hearn doesn't exactly put on big money on the plate.

well he offered Bute enough to get on a plane, and Bute was the champion, and a big draw in canada packing in 20,000 against bums.

I heard a rumor that Kessler wanted £3 million, not sure I believe it though.

He is staying in Denmark to fight Nathan Cleverly ;)

Froch fight in 2013 if he wins

the first fight i had a draw imo kessler knows after another war with froch there will be not to much left in the tank hence no more pay days.
i mean they had the belt behind kessler before the scores were announced

The first one was a close but clear win for Kessler and while a rematch makes sense, I understand him wanting big money to fight in Nottingham. Plenty of other options for Mikkel if he wants them, he's getting on a bit, though.

Bute had pressure to actually fight someone credible. It was a gamble.

I doubt anyone who wishes to even make a fight would realistically ask for that. Couldn't be that, surely.

Doubt he asked for £3 million, didn't Bute get £1.2 million and Froch £800,000 for the world title fight?

Kessler has had his day IMO, a fight with Froch would be really dangerous ATM.

He probably knows he's not the fighter he was, and that he's being brought over so he can lose on the scorecards and Froch can get his win back.

I'd probably hold out for more money too.

Exactly, Bute had a point to prove, and he needed the credibility.

Kessler has fought the best of the last 2 eras, he travelled to Wales to fight Calzaghe in a huge unification show down, then he also fought the best of this era as well, facing Ward in Oakland and Froch. The guy's a warrior, he can retire tomorrow and he'd get a lot of respect from me. He was in his prime around 2004-2007, until injuries took their toll on him, his inactivity is a huge issue.
