As much as I hate to admit it ..I think that Kessler´s done..to me its obvious he has slowed down..his hands-speed is slower and his moveability in the ring is alot worse these days. After the fight against Ward they tried to analyze what went wrong and they mentioned his sparring wasnt good enough (he sparred with Otis Griffin) Before the Kessler vs. Calzaghe fight Kessler sparred with Sakio Bika and Brian Magee - high quality sparring. What did Kessler and his camp do this time after they admitted sparring was wrong last time? - they tried to keep all his training a secret which is very uncommen from Kessler´s camp, and the only one of Kessler sparring partner´s that has been mentioned is Lolenga Mock...hmm and he should be better than Otis Griffin ?...nah don´t think so. So here is the big question why doesn´t Kessler want high quality sparring ??? Is he too injured to be able to spar with high quality opponents or is it because he doesn´t want his ass kicked in sparring...unfortunately these are the only 2 arguments that makes sence. Kessler claims he has learned alot of new things with his new coach, but I doubt he larned more than a few things afterall he was with Richard Olsen for almost 20 years and he had the new coach a few months...go figure. I would really like to see Kessler win this fight, but everything points to the opposite happening. Froch will be too strong-willed for Kessler and Kessler has never in his career faced a big puncher like Carl...im afraid Kessler is suffering his first KO loss in this one.
First of all, Kessler has known Montoya for around 10 years and trained with him on and off for 7 so he's not new to him! Second - Kessler have always been the first one to put videos on youtube of his sparring etc. I think it's a good move that nothing has been showed yet! I know there has been 4 sparrings partners around 2 russians, 1 english guy and 1 american. I know that from his friend Simon Lundt. So come on Froch - bring it ooooonnnn! :bbb
Kessler is done he will retire after losing a tko to froch. The calzaghe fight deludes people, calzaghe was never in trouble at all in that fight he just took 4-5 rounds to find his rhythm then coasted against kessler. It was nothing that kessler did. I still maintain that kessler has stamina problems unless he's fighting a bum and is able to control the pace himself.
Well obviously Simon Lundt gave you some wrong info, coz its confirmed that Kessler sparred with Patrick Nielsen, Lolenga Mock and polish boxer Piotr Wilczewski, and none of them has the nationality of the sparring partners you mentioned....ooops
Kessler and Ward are the only likable guys left in the tournament (now that JT's been replaced with that tool Allan Green, Abraham has exposed his true colors and acted like a total *****, and Dirrell continuing to be a negative-styled whiner...) I kind of hope it's the two of them in the finals. Even though Ward is horrible stylistically for Kessler and probably always will be. :yep
He`s just not proved anything really, but he`s talking as if he`s Hagler,Hagler didn`t mouth off,he just proved his greatness,Froch is doing my head in now.
cant see Kessler stopping Froch in 2 but i thnk he will state. Taylor couldnt miss Froch with his right and Kessler has a better straight right with more power than does Taylor and i think Froch will be very suprised by Kessler. The jab and straight right will be very effective against Froch's lack of defense and single punches. lus Froch's head is that big Kessler surely cant miss.
I think he was saying it a bit tongue on cheek to be honest. They seem to get on well with each other.
