Unless he thinks a bit, hey all I have to do next is fight Allan Green to get a spot in the semi-final. He would change his mind.

I don't think Kessler will lose though.

good thing he waited 10 years to fight top guys, or he would have retired long ago with 2 losses

He's a good couple of years past his prime, has lost a few steps, and knows this is do or die. I think Calzaghe shattered his confidence, and the two years of layoffs and tomato cans eroded his skills, or at least his speed. Ward beat him to every punch. Kessler definitely should retire if he loses to Froch, a glorified club fighter.

    Bull****.

Kessler was never very good and the Calzaghe fight (in which he fought with a fracture in his hand from training) certainly did not take anything out of him.

Kessler will always be just a guy who in his prime was completely dominated by a prospect (Ward) who had never even faced a top 15 opponent before.

crazy post, wrong, just totally wrong.

if you consider 8 head buts and 5 elbows dominated then fair enough. anyone who knows anything about boxing knows ward should have been dqd 4 times over at least

Oh bull****. He has the second best resume of any super middleweight in the past decade. Wins over Beyer, Mundine, Siaca, Lucas and Andrade is still better than what's on the resume of any current SMW.

And unless he's toast, I reckon he'll have a win over Froch on his resume soon. Stylistically, Froch is made for Kessler.

    Location: England :patsch

Folks are still whining over the headbutts? Its part of the game, if the ref misses it you fight on. Kessler has had the hometown advantage more often than not, a few accidental headbutts from a prospect should not have derailed his course if he was a great fighter.

Unfortunately he is not, and never was.

I aint discussing anything regarding ward with you any further after that little comment.

It is clear you are a biased ward fan.
