Hopkins career is over...it been over for a few years already...so Joppy or Hopkins in 2008 are the same kind of boxer...out of the buisness
Claiming it was MIranda's side that pulled out is disgraceful. Kessler loses major respect for this one. Show me ANY confirmation of this outside of Palle's and Marely's site that this ever happened. He pulled out of the SHOWTIME fight and we all know it.
What's the point? Kessler's people say one thing, Miranda's people say another. Rational people shrug their shoulders and move on, people who have an agenda stick to whichever story suits their agenda.
He pulled out of the Showtime deal - but when they found out about Mundine they quickly tried to get Miranda ranked high enough to be the opponent instead of Sartison. It got 0iranda up there but in the meantime he chose to fight Abraham instead. The letter from Palle to the WBA has been posted on here a while ago.
Well it is no secret that Team Palle came back with an offer to the Miranda camp about a fight on HBO. By that time Miranda was already in negotiations with Abraham and declined team palles offer.
No. We are now talking about some "phantom" offer SUPPOSEDLY made by Kessler's team when Miranda was just a few days from signing with Abraham. There is NO indication that this deal was legit, and if it was, it was too late. Palle tried to do a 'make good' over his original welch and fell flat on his face for all but the true huggers, which is the ONLY people they cared to fool with this one. And apparently it was "mission accomplished" on that front.
Kesslers comments are pure "HERE SAY" and BS... the guy in my opinion is a terrific marketing con. A handsome guy with a million dollar personality for TV who can beat up washed up left overs and Shot fighters. hes perfect for the ignorant fan to buy into. Calzaghe played this trick for 20 defences now you comedians have a new guy to nut hug. The same people who give an outstanding fighter like Floyd Mayweather stick.
Even taking this as 'fact' then why is Kessler claiming he doesn't know what happened? Why not just catch Miranda on the way into the ring and make the offer then? No cred. I had asked P2K several times about this and he never said anything one way or the other. Always found that strange.
I still havn't read a damn thing that conclusively states the blame is with Kessler, whilst being credible Yet it still rumbles on.... Who gives a **** anymore anyway. Didn't Miranda just get put into perspective when he got starched? What the hell would Kessler do to him?
You gotta love these guys who are all like: "Well Team Miranda was saying that Kessler ducked him before Team Kessler said anything. Ergo they are right." News flash!! Everything in this whole affair is based on press releases from Team Kessler and Team Miranda including the articles on ESB mainpage. The article from Dan Rafael is based only on hear say and is a sloppy piece of work. I'll be damned does anyone here have any independent thought and/or critical sense?!
I wasn't blaming Kessler till now. The fact Showtime had the original fight on their site shows THEY thought it was a go. They were involved in the negotiations because they were putting up the money. For Kessler to now claim ignorance is a bit more than I am willing to let him slide on. He knows what happend.
