Indeed- I just had a flashback to the first time I saw Kessler (not even joking). He knocked out Markus Beyer (one of those champions that just wouldn't go away) with a beauty of a right hand.

The guy does have power. And yes, he should throw that hook more often. :yep

Shows you how much kudos Kessler had leading up to the Calzaghe fight, I think there was an author on this site who said Calzaghe would become the next Lacy, was he right?

Bute vs Kessler would be intriguing. If Bute can nullify the jab (he has a blueprint from Calzaghe) then he has better all round punching options than Kessler does.

Don't talk bad about Peter Reid. I loved watching him play. He was the closest thing ever to perpetuum mobile.:D :D

PS! Didn't his hair turn grey before he retired?

I tried to collect some info on Sartison and put it in a thread under his name in the Euro section. You might wanna check it out and add to it since its rather pathetic at the moment. Sartison might be tougher than first anticipated.

The guy said Kessler was P4P after beating up a guy like Andrade....talk about hyped up White hope.

Name a P4P fighter in the Super middle division from the last 10 years?

You will only find Calzaghe. and he never beat a P4P to get that status

I see what you are fishing for and that's all fine and okay. I also see you like Trinidad, Hopkins, De La Hoya etc. etc. and that's fine too. But please tell us what you want from Kessler (and Calzaghe) before you give them credit? I mean, no hand-waving. I would like to hear what exactly they can do to get credit from you.

There's no need for a white hope when the best Super Middle is Calzagne. Try again..............

Listen.....I hope nothing more than Kessler becoming a superstar, he is a real role model out of the ring.

But this doesn't mask over the fact he has not deserving P4P fighter, A win against Pavlik,(Even Taylor), or a move to light Heavy vs a Johnson/Tarver in the US.

I promise you all of those fights will never happen. PALLE will protect this handsome Dane from any risky fights.

WHo did Hopkins beat? A blown up Trinidad, who beat Joppy = journeyman/gatekeeper at best, who very controversially 'beat' DLH - when I watch that fight, DLH schools Tito. Hopkins is overrated if anyone is.

Kessler has fought every top SMW put in front of him, took no easy defences of his title once he won it from Siaca, and lost to the best SMW out there.
