The burden of proof is on you, I'm afraid. And you failed to back-up your (and Kessler fan's) claims of a catchweight being a non-possibility. :good As I said, Kessler has no excuse for ducking Dawson, because a catchweight has not been ruled out.
Not clearly, but he would be ahead. Its the same with Bute and Kessler. If Bute beats Froch, IMO, he will be the man at smw. If Kessler beats Bute, he will CLEARLY be the man at smw. I believe Froch is a easy win for all three, but he is also a very credible opponent.
I just posted you a bunch of quotes where Shaw specifies that a match against Kessler would be at 175. If, as you state, Dawson is happy to fight Kessler at a catchweight (despite the fact that he has never said so and his promoter has always specified 'at 175') and we know that Kessler said he would fight Dawson at a catchweight, how do you conclude that Kessler is the one ducking the fight?
if the governing bodies call it then that's your best shot. apart from that you haven't once told my what's wrong with my argument. you're still trying to justify a fighter who has beaten a great middleweight fighter against one who hasn't beaten a proven world class fighter. stop using rankings and belts to smokescreen this fact. i've already said this and i'm getting tired of repeating it.
fair question but at the same time - kessler's resume is a lot better than froch who hasn't really beaten anyone himself. andrade would do just fine against froch anyday.
Because Taylor beat Hopkins, he's no longer required to seek out the best opposition for the remainder of his career?
You failed to provide evidence that Dawson's team are unwilling to fight at a catchweight. Kessler's team, meanwhile, have clearly stated they are not interested in fighting Dawson, due to weight issues. I am not concluding anything, because the fight may yet one day happen. So far however, it is clearly Kessler's team that has shown the reluctance to fight, and it is (some of) his fans who defend this reluctance blindly.
Yet you think that Froch deserves a fight against Taylor? All throughout the thread you keep saying Kessler doesn't deserve a shot at Taylor.. Answer me this, who does?
are you saying that kessler, because he didn't beat calzaghe, that big names should chase after him the remainder of his career? name fighters don't come to you - you EARN it.
Froch and Andrade would be a great fight, but there would not be a clear favorite. I would favor Froch over Mundine. I will put it like this, If Kessler defeats Froch, Froch would become the best name on his resume. Im not saying Froch is great, because I think he isnt that great at all, but he is just good enough, undefeated, and has a belt to be a great name on someones resume.
i never said froch deserves a fight against taylor - quote me. and you want to know who deserves a shot against taylor? anyone who is willing to take half the chances he did to make a name for himself.
