There is something wrong in boxing if Jermain Taylor with record like this: Won 28 (ko 17) + lost 2 (ko 1) + drawn 1. Can do wtf he wants too cause he's American! - Im getting sick of boxing! This content is protected This content is protected
Why is it all right for Taylor to take on small opponents in his own country, because this bring the most money, when everybody, (including my self BTW) criticize Kessler for not going to US to fight for less money???
If you refer to Hopkins, Pavlik, Winky, Spinx, Lacy as small opponents then I think it is perfectly ok for Kessler to take on small opponents such as JT's.
First of all you didn't give your opponent on the question. Secondly, the hole thread is about that Kessler wants to fight everyone om them, but US-boxing fans don't thinks he is worthy.
I don't know if there are too many serious fans that wouldn't have him as #1 at the moment because of his bout with Calzaghe. I think Taylor has a shot at that spot, but most of us still want to see him fight a few top SMW's before moving him up any. Personally, I think this whole argument about not being known is bewildering in this day and age of communications. If HBO books him, he has enough of a record for them to hype a fight. That is THEIR end of things. This is what advertising guys get paid to do ffs.....
Im having trouble understanding your question but I dont think its a question of him being worthy, its just a matter of being unknown to them. After his comeback fight with Lacy, JT only wants the big money fights. Kessler, here in the US, right now at this moment wouldnt be a big money fight. The good news is that there arent many big money fights out there for JT that he can take right now. Since Calzaghe doesnt want the fight, and Bute wont be available for a big showdown in Montreal, Kessler may be his only option. Im gng to attend a charity event this month in which JT will fight a former razorback football player, and Im friends with a few of his family members here in the Rock, hopefully Ill get to chat with him and get some answers about what he's gng to do.:good
No, what we have are proven lies by Palle which undermine his credibility. "Dawson is losing 5-6 kilos after weigh-ins", "Dawson is a Cruiserweight", etc. Kessler claims Chad's team is dissinterested, but Kessler's team are the only ones who have turned down an offer: http://www.***********.com/forums/showthread.php?t=232028 It is clear which side is showing more reluctance.
Calzaghe was a 'risk' that Kessler took, ie risky fight competition wise, but not much risk in getting seriously injured, as Joe does not hit hard. And Kessler lost. Mundine, however, was an easy fight. Small fighter, weak chin, no amateur career, means easy money. Dawson has at least 3 wins, each of which are greater than Kessler's best win, IMO.
As lennox would say, definitely. Calzaghe was high risk, but major reward. Plus, if he lost, which he did, he can come back from getting beaten by a guy like Joe. Its not like Joe was going to gain a devastating KO over him. Mundine sucks. Plain and simple.
The only win on Dawsons record i would give him credit for is Adamek! the Johnson fight was more likely a draw! and Tarver.. well, Tarver WAS a good fighter, but now he is fourty, fat and finish! so i really dont think this puts Dawson above Kessler in any way!
I questioned your opinion, that it was OK for Taylor at home to take on little Spinks for money, when everybody (including my self) criticize Kessler for not going to US to fight for less money. (Kessler could so easy stay at home fighting for more money for Kessler and Mogens Palle - God forbid it though) Who is responsible for Kessler to be unknown in US, when Kessler is a well known fighter all over the world, and he begins to have to longest threads on different boxing sides? Why is it, Taylor moves up to 168, where at the moment arent that many US-fighters, when US boxing fans rather would pay for Taylor fighting small Spinks, than Taylor fighting the best at 168 - Kessler, Bute or Froch? Last time we had some what near a fighter, it was Pantera2000. Love his inside story, even though he some times got carried away. Will love the inside stories/latest rumors from you.
A+ man. Funny ****. You say JT is gonna fight a charity with a former Razor Back? That would be cool to see, but damn not many major college foot ball players weigh less than 200 + pounds.
Yeah. I wondered about this. What the rule set will be? Athletes get injured all the time doing something they shouldn't have been doing in the first place.
