Beating Dawson will give more credit however should Kessler loose that fight hes future would be in Europe with low paydays for the rest of his career.

    What offer?

He got pwned by Pavlik yes but the first Abraham fight was close. And Miranda was still a very hyped fighter even after the Pavlik fight.

That debatable and either way Kessler himself said he wants to be a big name in the US and have big fights in the US. What is gonna make him a big name in the US?? A fight against a hyped power puncher on American TV or 2 fights against a nobody and a boarderline journey men??

You missed the part where, after Mundine vacated, he offered the shot at the vacant WBA title to Miranda.

I can see why you would miss that, as it causes your argument to suffer sudden and total failure...

No I missed that part because it never happened.:patsch

Kessler fought Sartian and Miranda lost to Abraham. When was this offer made???

The Sartison fight was his comeback win, after all.

In Europe the fighters are generally reluctant to drop a belt as it gives them serious leverage with the TV networks and casual non-comitted fans.

Why do you think Hatton and Calzaghe held the WBU and WBO titles for so long, beating chumps largely?

I am not saying I disagree - Kessler should have dropped the belt and fought someone else, but Miranda has been owned before and the other main guys had full diaries around the time he wanted to fight again.

At the end of the day it's a business.
Kessler is not his own agent, he's not his own promotor, he's just a fighter trust me, he don't fear anyone.

Mogens Palle and the promotional team runs the business and calls the shots, who knows what shitty deal Seminole Warriors offered Team Palle in the first place to begin with. People jumping the gun that Mikkel personally was afraid of Miranda, what a ludicrous statement.. laughable at the very best.

Enough is enough, Miranda was offered a shot at Mundines vacated title, unfortunately Seminole Warriors did not take that as they had already begun negotiating with Arthur Abrahams team.

People needs to shut their traps about Kessler personally avoiding people from left to right.. its getting out of hand, really.

He didn't have the belt to drop it. He could have fought Miranda and then for for the WBA title after the Miranda fight and it probably would have be shown on american TV.

Kessler isn't completely innocent. If he wanted the fight he could have got them.

He did after the Sartison fight.

I think we may be at crossed purposes. I think the Haussler fight was pointless.

From the mails I received on the whole Miranda debacle, Kessler himself was shocked that people were blaming him for the whole thing.

He said there's two sides to every story.

Mogens Palle is rumoured to be just as hard as Frank Warren to land a deal with, I would love to see Kessler part with Palle and get signed with GBP or Top Rank.

Kessler pulled out of negotiations with Miranda to force a fight with Mundine.

Having failed to have to have Kessler removed as mandatory contender, Mundine instead vacated.

Kessler's camp then successfully petitioned the WBA to have Miranda moved up the rankings to allow him to fight for the vacant title and offered the fight to Miranda. Miranda, at this point, was in advanced negotiations with Abraham and preferred to stay with that fight.

Kessler then looked for another opponent, which was Sartison.

You see how, if you pay attention, keep up and take off the juvenile blinkers, things make sense and, it turns out, nobody is 'scared' of anybody.

No exactly. Adamek did it without ant major cataclysms. So the question is valid. Why Dawson does not go up and fight Cunningham?

I am sure Kessler will fight Dawson if he goes down to 168.

Yeah but Miranda was already KO'd by Abraham by then.

The Haussler fight was disgusting. I find it hard to believe that Kessler could find a better opponent then Haussler.

So when basically Kessler blew a big fight because of a cheap paper title.

Just happened to be great timing that Miranda was about to sign to fight Abraham when Kessler offered him the fight.:blood
