who is to say what Kessler will look like in the future who has any guarentee. Im going off of each fighters last fight and based on what I see here and now that is my assesment what is wrong with that.
I don't know buddy -- Joe, to his credit, looked like he was more than willing to leave absolutely everything in the ring. I did not get that impression from Kessler.
Funny why dont you go on about Winky Wright who has ducked close to every live fighter in the last year, or Jermain Taylor who openly has declined to fight Kessler! My guess is that your so called bias moves two ways!
I am also a fan of AA now, and i wont take anything away from him...but please, one fight away from home against Miranda in a non title fight, and he is a bigger warrior then Kessler, who fought Calzaghe and Mundine away from home as a champion with his belt/belts on the line...
I have never been a Jermain fan the guy was getting extreme hype and he frankly was not as good as the press he was receiving but all that was rendered moot when Kelly blasted him to shreds. Winky with the Cover and jab is one of the most boring fighters in all of boxing he is nothing I would never pay or watch a Winky fight not my cup of tea. Jermain is what I consider a litmus Test for all around 165 he has some skill and not just any bum is taking him out. highlight Abraham & Kessler I would love to see him against them to set up a comparison and get the hype and demand going for a showdown with Kelly.
I know what you mean, Kessler looked a bit hesitant in the ring and was waiting on Joe. But I think part of is that is because he changed his style for that fight and played the counter-puncher role.
If anything I think Kessler may be a bit faster than Pavlik. Pavlik has heavier hands IMO though. It would be a very interesting fight, I'm pretty sure this one is going to happen at some point.
Mundine is the perfect example of a guy on a milk run, give me Sakio Bika and Soliman all night long trilogys FFS.
I don't know if it is true, but someone posted because of back problems Kessler can only fight twice a year. (how long since his last fight?) He is always going to have a little ring rust at that rate. How do you know that was an off night versus perhaps a decline in ability because of his back problems?
