I think Kessler and Pavlik are about equally easy to hit, so i think it'll be an important factor who can take those big bombs, cause both guys hit with authority and power
You show me a time Kessler gets hit by half a dozen power shots in a row and is on ***** street Infact, I challenge you to find a 3 or 4 punch combination landed. Complete bull****.
I have to disagree, I believe the exact opposite. Kessler is all out wrong for Pavlik in so many ways.
I have been reading a lot of your posts and with all due respect the things that are "obvious" to you appear to be almost entirely based on bias and jingoistic bull****. I have no problem with someone thinking Pavlik beats Kessler but your reasoning for why is laughable and shows that you might have been watching boxing for a long time, but you sure as hell have not learnt much about it. He is "slow"? Well he is MUCH faster than Pavlik. His jab is far far quicker and he throws his shots in a more compact and tight manner. He is less open and is footwork is on another planet to Pavliks. Now before you start assuming I mean he is brilliant mover, I am not talking about footwork where he dances around the ring like a Mayweather or Ali. But basic footwork that moves you in and out of range efficiently, that does not mean you are off balance when a shot misses or that you have to reset your stance after every big right hand thrown. Pavliks footwork is awful, I have described in it more detail and the problems with it on two other threads and I have no interest in going through it all again. But Kessler is far from tailor made for Pavlik, he is a very economical counter puncher with great accuracy, a brilliant jab, faster hands, better defence, better footwork and a more solid chin. He has less stamina, power and workrate. And he gives away reach. This is far from an easy fight for either man, but yes I certainly do see Kessler beating Pavlik and in my case it is not due to being bias or simply rubbishing a fighter based on where they were born. It is down to the fact that Kessler is technically better in literally every aspect of the game and also faster. Could Pavlik KO him? Yes I reckon he could, even though Kessler has never been dropped as a pro or amateur, I am sure Pavlik has the power to stop him if he landed enough. But I don't see him landing enough, and I do see him getting tagged repeatedly with jabs, right hands and the uppercut every time is dreadful footwork pulls his torso forwards after a right hand and leaves him wide open, with his chin in the air.
