Please confess you didn't read the whole thread before jumping into it! Yes you can do it now! Come on...
the knockdown shot that mitchell landed on calzaghe was brutal, right on the temple. also, i dunno if you have noticed, as calzaghe is getting off the floor he looks completely out of it for a split second and he wobbles from side to side, as soon as he makes his feet he's back to full focus and ready to go, then mitchell gets the beating of his life.
Calzaghe's chin is well proven, he has shown he can take big punches from big punchers. He was caught flush by a big overhand right from a noted puncher in Jeff Lacy early in their fight and walked through it, Byron Mitchell dropped him with a monster of a right uppercut/hook which I didn't think he'd get up from, yet he jumped right back up and stopped Mitchell. If Calzaghe did get hit flush like Rodrigues Moungo then he'd probably hit the deck but I think he could get up from that as he did show remarkable powers of recovery against Mitchell.
Maybe. But isn't true that what separates good fighters from great fighters is the ability not to let prey get of the hook once they are hurt? I don't see MK letting JC slip away once hurt.
That's bc Lacy never had the speed, accuracy and timing Kessler does. More than just power matters. Kessler has good but not great power. But more than that he has superb timing and accuracy. THAT's what will win him this fight.
kessler needs his jab working for all these above mentioned attributes to come into plan. if joe stops the jab, then kessler could take a pretty bad beating. kesslers gameplan relies massively on his jab.
What's up with Kessler beating up on famous old people? 4/3/98 3rd round tko over Michael Corleone. Dude must have been ancient, like 70 or 80. Vito was rolling over in his grave. 11/27/98, UD over Dean Martin.... Could'nt even KO that old drunk! At least he's fighting real guys now.
that was 9 years ago, what was kessler then, 19? who'd you expect him to be facing at that stage of his career?
You can't stop a train...You can move around it of course. I'm looking forward to seeing some nice footwork from both fighters, though. :mj
Whatever, you're just a Batman hater :nono You can't argue with that resume: The joker, The riddler, Mr. Freeze and i could go on... No wonder Spidey and all the X-Men are ducking him, overhyped china chinned bums :tired
Every bit of footage ever posted of Kessler has been posted by deram. Not only does he have "kessler' google alerts added, he also has "lessler" and "jessler" google alerts just in case the editor made a typo with his name.
