Kessler won the fight for me but i'm reinforced in the belief that he isn't a very smart fighter. kessler has always been technically a better fighter than froch but he was ragged and, in my opinion, lost some middle and late rounds that were touch and go because of it.
he wanted to bang and froch was better at it but it made for a cracking fight.

neither froch nor kessler will win the super 6 because they are both limited but after that fight i have much more respect for froch (i did before too) because he's got some of the biggest balls in the business, even if he doesn't have the skills.

kessler made that hard work for himself.

Froch just didn't move into 5th gear.

Don't think the training was there.

I felt Froch lost the fight by not doing enough.

It was the type of fight he wanted and he let Kessler off the hook!

Froch won the fight, but the fight was in Kessler's home town.

I agree it was a technically sloppy fight, but Kessler was just coming off of a loss in which his technical boxing didn't work for him. He's lost a lot of pace in the last couple of years, so I think he fought the right kind of fight. Kessler would have made easier work of Froch a few years ago.

Kessler won fair and square. But Froch was better than expected.

Froch came close to stopping Kessler and should have stepped it up when he had him hurt.

Kessler was a shadow of his old self. Was almost sad to watch the fight... I don't know what happened to Froch. During the fight I thought he may have an injury how hesitant and reluctant he was.

    Was a great fight though!

Froch had injuries going into the fight. But Kessler won fair and square.

froch spent too much time admiring the little good work that he did an did'nt follow it up enough, by the time he had realised he had'nt done enough around the 10th he was already gassing and kessler had already taken the sting out of him whereas taylor had not.
both kessler and froch will be very shop worn if an when they get to the final, abraham is the man now.

abraham wouldve caught dirrell if the fight was'nt stopped thanks to dirrells oscar winning performance, im not sold on ward yet and green has a good chance to make things even more intersting this weekend.

You all seem to ignore the great body work Kessler did in the early rounds. That won him the fight and thats what prevented Froch from stepping up in the last rounds.

Also Kessler had to deal with an opponent who had a significant longer reach than himself - something that he wasn't used to. I think that is one of the reasons why it got a bit messy.

Kessler will be better against Green. Also don't count out Froch yet, he may be able to defeat a non-moving target like Abraham.

This was "a fight for life" fore Kessler. Criticized for lake of fighting spirit and warrior mentality vs. Calzaghe and Ward. Kessler just didn't wanted to lose this time and knew it would be a struggle. Hopefully he has got his confidents back, and "dare" to work on the technical, jab and combinations again............

I had Kessler two points up, but I was screaming at the telly for Froch to go after him more - he could easily have stopped him in the fifth but he let Kessler off the hook.
