Actually that would be Sauerland suggesting that.

I´m just laying out a scenario from those statements.

Kessler says he can make 160 though-don´t know about that one :huh

You don't think he'd be willing to do it in the Kingdom of Denmark:huh

Who from Froch's camp has said they want a " soft " opponent next up ???

He was stood there next to Kessler after Bute basically saying were looking at the rematch next !!!

Kessler is looking a little shot these days , Froch should be pushing for this fight right now , and if your Kessler , the last person you want to fight right now is Nathan Cleverly , young , in experienced and flawed yes , but he'll make todays Kessler really work over 12 fast rounds , thats not the fight for Kessler , its the fight for Nathan , but not for Kessler

Froch has his pick , i would imagine if Ward Dawson breaks down (as it undoubtedly will) Froch would be on Ward's list of potentials , underneath him he has Bute 2 , Kessler 2 , Pascal 2 and Cleverly !!!

Oh sorry back to the point ..................... Kessler Sumenov !!! , if i were Sauerland id be looking for something easy from now on for Kessler , until he wants bigger paydays , in which case you have to deliver for your client !! , that said Kessler commands big crowds at home so he should be pretty rich by now , Kessler is over the hill , i can't see him winning another big fight against a top fighter if I'm honest

Eddie Hearn and Froch both stated that a softer fight than Kessler should be next.

    Current Kessler should school Shumenov.

Then again, I don't know Green and Shumenov are that far apart in right hand power..and Shumenov is far more aggressive with a vastly superior chin. :think

I like this fight, Kessler is a better rounded fighter but he's probably slipping and Shumenov is a young, strong, aggressive guy-the type tha could give an older Kessler problems. I'd give Kessler the edge in a good fight.

I want to see a Froch-Kessler rematch but there are a lot of good fights from 168-175 for both guys that I'm fine with them going in different directions for now.

I'd like to see Froch face Kessler, Dirrell, Cloud-Pascal winner, or someone like that next but he probably would be smart to make one of those easier type of home field title defenses before jumping back in with another top guy. He should grab one or even two of those easy fights while he's riding high-there's enough big fights to last him years.

Right after the Bute fight: Here You go.

Froch's promoter Eddie Hearn also said an immediate rematch was unlikely and that he would like to see his charge in an easier fight following a phenomenal run of eight successive elite-level matches stretching back to 2008.
"We'd be more than happy to go to Montreal if they want to give us a defence first and they can have a warm-up fight themselves.
"Carl doesn't like easy fights but it would be nice to have something a little bit easier. But he's put himself right back in the mix in the super-middleweight division."
While a rematch with Mikkel Kessler, who was ringside in Nottingham, is a distinct possibility, Froch's ultimate target is a return fight with Andre Ward, who beat him in the final of the Super Six tournament last December.
Froch said: "Mikkel Kessler could be a tasty dust-up in the future, that's a fight I would take in a heartbeat. It would be nice to avenge a defeat, it really would.
"But I think I've fought enough monsters, time after time, to now think about fighting Mikkel Kessler.

From BBC-Sport. I wont post the link as I´ve been previously banned for posting links. Try google and search for: Froch fought enough monsters.. In case You don´t believe me.

    The defense rests .

Yep, no need to rush it necessarily...unless Kessler REALLY starts to regress at an accelerated pace (ie looking like he did against Perdomo again, or worse..) or show signs of being excessively hampered by old injuries..

Froch vs. Cloud/Pascal II is dead sexy.

So you don't think it might be a good idea for Froch to try and fill the niche of "the man at 168" if the Dawson match is foreshadowing a move up by Ward? :think

It would be awkward if they both wound up at 175 clearing out the competition and staring across the battlefield at each other...same quandary as having them the top two at 168, they've already pretty decisively shown who's the better man in the ring between them. :conf

Yeah, I'm not big on a Ward-Froch rematch but if it were at 175 I guess that would put a bit more interest in it.

I like the match ups at both weights for Froch but I'd lean towards 175 as the weight I prefer to see him at( I have no idea if he ever plans on moving up so it might be irrelevant).

I think matches with Cloud and Pascal are probably the two best fights(from an action stand point) that Froch has out there. Dawson beats him but I'd like to see that fight since I think Froch would force Dawson to fight more than he likes too.

I don't know about others but I'd be very interested in a Froch-Hopkins fight in England. It would be a fun build up to the fight and I'd be interested if Hopkins could deal with a style like Froch at this point.

Kessler seems to want to fight at light heavy and there's also Shumenov who would be an underdog to Froch but a live one and I think thats an all action fight.

At 168 theres Ward(if he doesn't move up), Bute, Dirrell, and Abraham but those are all rematces that aren't overly appealing at the moment.

Pavlik would be the fight I'd most like to see for Froch at 168. Guys like Groves, Oosthuizen, DeGale, Rodriguez are probably a few years off for Froch and he may not even be around then and if he is he'll be clearly on the downside.

Plenty of good fights at both weights for Froch but I guess I'd like to see him try 175 if he's capable of making a good transition to the weight.

Kessler should whoop Shumenov. If Froch stays at 168 and Pascal beats Cloud (like he should) I wouldn't mind seeing Pascal-Kessler. They each have the style to give the other guy problems.

Froch won't take 2 easy fights in a row. Bute was a tune up:hey. Kessler will be next:good
