The reason I'm so against it is what does it do for Kessler? Let's say in the best case scenario, he wins this again. Perhaps even more clearly, we're looking at a best case scenario. He's got the same result on his record twice, what does that really do for him? He's not righting a wrong or proving a point, its duplicating a result. The worst case scenario is you're on the slide and you lose to a guy you've already beat fairly and then people start to look at the first fight and question what took place. The fight has no up side on a boxing level, only a financial one. Thats why I dislike the fight from Kessler's point of view, its a great fight for Froch rather than Kessler.

It makes sense to pursue other avenues. Not that there are many, which is why I think 175 should be a thought as well.

i think kessler just nicked it also mate, but ive spoke to a fair few people who think froch nicked it......

i think a rematch would be a good fight......

i also think froch will knock ward out, yeah ok tough job but i just have a feeling the cobra will strike.

Why do you think that miguel? The only person Froch has knocked out at this level is Jermain Taylor who has been knocked out 3 times now in total. 4 of the 5 top level fighters he has faced never looked like getting knocked out. He did that in the last round. Knocking out a guy that has a good defence and reflexes seems pretty unlikely so it would good to hear the rationale behind that.

Kessler won easily. No need for a rematch on the grounds that it could have gone either way.

Amazing really. Take the 'Super 6' out of it, and why can't networks get more divisions together like this and make the best consistently fight the best?!? We've learned tonnes about the bet in that division over the past few years by seeing all of them at their best and worst.

Only then can you know a fighters true worth, rather than handpicking opponents to make 'em look good.

would be good to see a super 6 style tourney in all weight classes every few year or so........

then we would see the best vs the best instead of hand picked defences etc.

I'd be suprised if Kessler didn't enforce his mandatory status on the WBC champ after Ward vs Froch. Unless he intends on fighting for the WBO to make the fight bigger and get a better purse out of the Ward vs Froch winner.
