Kessler may have to fight Miranda for title

Kessler is interested in the belt, and the money that comes with being in title fights. If he beat Mundine or Miranda it doesnt really matter.

Seems strange that Miranda will be given a title shot, he hasnt beaten anyone to warrant it.

 

Why is it strange? Name a better available 168lbs who is ready to fight Kessler. There is none.

 

Miranda has every right to challenge for a belt. How many other no hopers have been able to fight for one. Or does Miranda fall into the category of high risk low reward type ****?

Same here. I can't stand Miranda but he's great for boxing. He's willing to fight anyone. I hope Kessler's team realizes that Miranda is the perfect opponent to get a big fight. Who cares about a WBA regular title?

Well, with all due respect, what do you expect when a fighter can 'petition' (nice hefty petition fee?) to become mandatory? That is a joke. Sanctioning bodies should meet and determine these things on their own without outside interference. I'm not saying Kessler isn't deserving of the ranking, I'm just saying the process is flawed so how can ANYONE complain about who they pick as Kessler's mandatory if indeed these two fight for the belt?

 

Which is why you aren't him. Seriously, if these guys at the upper levels didn't believe they could take on anyone, then this would be a boring sport. I think/hope most ducking is management, not fighters.
