If the pre-tourney favorite is out with an injury along with the WBC world champinship belt, then the tourney becomes a bit pointless.

    Let's hope the best.

Only redemption would be to replace him with Bute

Does this mean if its true that Kessler can leave and take his belt with him? If so thats one way of protecting it isn't it?

There are still posters promoting Kessler's fights in the super six in the background. That does not compute with Kessler pulling out of the tournament.

Edit: JJ is just a bit to fast for me :D

Yeah, but too late in the tourney, and with only one belt in the tourney someone could be fighting for multiple belts outside the tourney and the tourney would go from settling the best at 168 to settling the WBA champion. Major blow, and I doubt Bute wants to put his belt on the line inside when he only has one fight to reach the semis and is pretty much certain to not get through... and if he does get through (on a KO) he will meet the no. 1 because the semis are best vs. lowest points.. so no point in it for Bute really. Just useless.

According to rumors he won't be ready in time to do his mandatory, besides Green is a better defence than most other options.

Kalle Sauerland on. He's not looking like a happy camper.

The top 4 contenders with the WBC are Dirrell, Abraham, Froch and Green?
