Kessler just had an operation in his hand, in 2 months he will be ready
    to train again.
I think he need a new managment/ promotor, Palle is sick/dying, so it will be exiting to see what happend. He deserve a good promotor with he's talent.

You know what, i've got a funny feeling if its true that Kessler is going to leave Palle that Frank Warren will sign him up.

As for Kessler's next fight I think he should go for IBF champion Lucian Bute, rematch with Anthony Mundine or move up to 175lbs and fight one of the champions there.

Or if he feels he needs it go for a tuneup first, someone in the top20.

Your right, he does deserve a good promoter.

Goldenboy will sign him, put him agaisnt Bika, face then face the winner of Manfredo vs Lacy in a "I got the **** beaten out of me by Joe Calzaghe" Tournement.

No but in all seriousness Kessler is a world class boxer who i would tip to beat Taylor, Pavlik, Hopkins, Roy Jones, Lacy, basicly any M/W, SM/W AND LH/W except for Joe Calzaghe!

I really don't see how Kessler got "the **** beaten out" of him by Calzaghe. Calzaghe won the fight by boxing clever and by all means he did enough to win, but Calzaghe was very cautious of Kessler through the whole fight and everytime Kessler landed you could see Calzaghe felt it, if anything Kessler landed the more telling blows, but that doesn't seem to count with volume point scoring. I would like to see a rematch at some point, cause I really don't think it would be a repeat of the first, not saying who i think would win, but either man would be forced to use a different tactic.

    Bull****.

While it was competative he won nearly every round by my card.

Kessler landed some good telling blows in the 4th round but Calzaghe came straight back.

In the 9th round (8th or 9th?) Calzaghe had Kessler hurt with the biggest shot of the entire fight to the body Kessler went back and was nearly on the floor. The ref came in to grab calzaghe for some shitty reason, it would have been a knockdown or tko if the ref wasnt a dumbass.

I'm sick of hearing how Kessler's overrated. I'm sick of hearing how he sucks. ****, I hate boxing fans. Where does this backlash even come from? It's just blind hatred, it's gotta be. Nobody put him on a pedestal and called him the GOAT, before during or after the Calzaghe fight. Alot of people who weren't already impressed with him from the Andrade fight and tracking down vids online, became impressed with this very solid, likeable, and technically impeccable if not very multi-dimensional fighter on that night. Nobody said anything more egregious than "He's still the #2 SMW in the world, easily". That's NOT overrating. It's respect. It's credit. Which he ****ing deserves.

    I ****ing HATE boxing fans.

no, he said that the body shot hurt him, and when Kellerman asked him if he might have gone down, he said "never"

What the **** is with the lies and hate?

I didnt watch it on HBO i watched it on setanta first off.

When being interviewed he said he was hurt by the body shot, and the interview guy said thanks for being honest.

Theres no lies and hate in this thread, your the only one trying to make something of it.

Kellerman asked Kessler if he was considering taking a knee and Kessler said "no never". He did admit that the bodyshot hurt him though, but he wasn't going down...

I really think that fight conclusively showed us who was the best in the division. Like other people in this thread I have a really hard time understanding the people who say that Kessler was overrated... Whats up with the constant attempts to discredit the merrit of both Calzaghe and Kessler? The fight was solid proof of the class of both fighters.

A MINORITY of american fight fans are begining to feel the pinch and seek to discredit dominant fighters from Europe.
They've been spoilt in the past when they went unchallenged, now that boxing is becomming more global (which is a great thing for the future of the sport btw!) its less likely that one country will dominate the way America used to.
