Never seen Kessler in a dull fight. He ticks all the boxes for me.

    Siaca a world champ
    Sartison a world champ
    Haussler a European champ (away)
    Poirras a gate keeper
    J C Green a former world champ
Thobela a former WBC world champ

Just those names alone are a similar resume level than Dirrell and Wards combined. Not to mention
    E Lucas
    A Mundine away
    L Andrade (undefeated)
    C Froch a world champ

Now you really sound stupid

    Pwned big time :pwned

An honest answer even if im not in full agreement, but who was Kessler meant to fight? Thats why I dont think its overated because he has attempted to fight all comers and there is also R Steiglitz.
Kessler has fought many world champs, so how can they not be elite level?

    Garbage, C level fighter.
C level fighter. Fought a bunch of journeymen after getting smoked by Kessler fought a bunch of journeymen after. Never was world champion. Holds a bull**** strap the WBA made up.
European champ? That makes him d level.
    Never heard of him.
Again a bull**** version of the WBA strap. He was never super strap. Got Ko'd by a middleweight Joppy and Byron Mitchell before he fought Kessler. Meaningless victory.
Lost his 2 fights before fighting Kessler, one by KO, and lost his last 5 fights after fighting Kessler. Another meaningless victory.
YOu combine Ward and dirrells resume, who just started professional boxing like 5 years ago, and you get Abraham, Kessler, Miranda, and Allan Green. Easily blowing these chumps out the water. Froch aswell if not for fighting in butt**** England.

ERic Lucas a scrub, KO'd 3 times before he fought Kessler. Mundine a scrub, KO'd by Sven Ottke, nuff said. Andrade a scrub, never won a world title. Froch decent fighter, horrible boxer, and Kessler got a gift.

Compared to true ATGs and former elites, his resume is ****. Not one elite fighter defeated. Hell not even a A level fighter defeated. A couple B's with mostly C's.

Dear me, what a terrible post! You strike me as an out and out hater, foolish and perhaps a tad delusional. Anthony Mundine was the third ranked super middle in the world when they fought. Marcus Beyer, Carl Froch and Librado Andrade also top 5. Siaca and Lucas also top ten. How on earth can these fine fighters been termed "nobodies"? Take Froch fir example. Had he not just knocked out Taylor in his own back yard after beating the man who burst the Chad Dawson bubble? These guys are all fine fighters.

So none of them are A-level elite class? How many fighters are? Maybe 10-12 in the whole of the sport. Does that mean that nobody else is worth watching?if so then it says more about you as a so called fan of the sport than about them. Yet another who thinks the ethnically diverse continent of Europe which spans three separate lands masses is one country. I know some of you casual joe six packs over there don't know the sport exists outside of your own country but fortunate the genuine fans of the sport within the states are not so ignorant.

Let's put it another way , how many super middles of the last decade have a better resume? Calzaghe, and...? Besides him you'd have to go back to the 90s with Jones, Toney, Benn etc... How about middleweights? Hopkins, and...?light heavies? Jones for sure, probably Michazczewski too. Nobody else.

Yours is a classic post from someone with very little in depth knowledge of the sport. Please engage your brain before posting, thank you!

Mate be careful, total fights is not always the best guide. Froch is two years older than Kessler and Bute only a year younger as is Abraham. None of those guys have that much longer left than he does if at all (always assuming the injury heals properly). I don't think you can hold the fact that the guy stayed active whilst other prospects fought much less often against him.

Ward and Dirrell I do agree with, this tournament came along at the right time for them, at the start of their prime rather than towards the end. Both could go on to good things irrespective of who wins it, whether it be one of them, Froch or Abraham. As for Bute I would love to see him face the winner. I like Bute but he always seems to get the leftovers (Miranda, Joppy, Andrade etc...) Kessler has taken the 0 of three good contenders in the last few years (Andrade, WBC champ Froch and Sartison) plus beatan Beyer and Siaca who were reigning champs.

Have you ever tried to punch Joe Calzaghe?

Didn't think so. Shut the **** up about professional boxers who are tougher than you could ever hope to be. You'd probably be scared to fight your little brother if you had the kind of eye injury Kessler has, let alone Ward and Froch.
