I'ts sad if Kessler have to smash Lacey first, if americans are that thick, so forget about them. The strong fighters in MW,SMW and LHW all come from europe, with expection of Dawson.

The only thing I have against Palle is that he is getting old. I think after over 50 years as a promoter he know his way arround the game. He has shown this many times. I also believe that his motivation are quite unselfish and that he is trying to manage Kesslers career so that it is best for Kessler. I only worry that he can not himself feel when it is time to stop. All this about tight contracts is right but I dont think that it is relevant anymore. He only has Kessler left and when this his career is over it will also be over for Mogens I believe. I dont think that Mogens will stand in the way of Kessler achieving his goals.

The problem is really not Palle as I see it now. We may disagree about the Miranda fight, but I am not really sure about the facts sorrounding this at all. I am sure that there are many facts none of us know however, and I admit that I have some reservations to what is being said by Miranda and his team.

Imagine GBP got to manage Kesslers career, would that get BHOP and Taylor to jump in the ring with Kessler? Honestly Kesslers big problem is that he is danish and he is not marketable and that he is too high risk. He is a big name in Germany for beating their top guy, he is a big name in UK for challenging Calzaghe. He can be a big name in america as well but he needs a big name to do it. I am absolutely sure that Kessler wants it, HBO wants it, the hard core fans wants it now we need to find someone in the other corner.

Everyone agrees. Only Mogens Palle didn't. Biggest mistake ever in danish boxing. :-:)-(

That´s a good post. Is Kessler a worse fighter because he hasn´t been televised as much as the other top-dogs in the division? Does the camera lens suddenly make im 50% better than he was before?

Kessler can easily get Bika to fight him. And Showtime or Versus would surely pick it up. HBO maybe, maybe not.

Mogens Palle said that Kessler would be happy to fight Dawson at 168, whereas Gary Shaw said Dawson would be happy to take on Kessler if Kessler would come to LHW.

Personally I don't think that constitutes either of them 'turning down' the other, but I guess those that used Palle's statement to charge that Kessler had turned down a fight with Dawson have to apply the same standards when Dawson's promoter makes an identical statement.

That's a good idea, and Bika has the IBO title, so they could hype it as a "unification" fight.

I am american and I agree. Sometimes we just dont need European fighters making names in the states. It is just not necessary for Kessler. He can comfortably stay in Europe and fight whoever he wants like he has for the last few years. There are plenty of good euro fighters these days, he just wont make the same money or have a great legacy.

Why does he feel the compulsion to get the approval of the American audience? Kessler will never go down as an all time great he has already wasted far too much of his carrer with Palle.

Kesslers promoter first said he doesnt want anything to do with Bad Chad. I havent heard of your 2nd Kess-promoter statement, but assume its true.

Shaw did not say anything about 175lb when he mentioned Dawson taking on Kessler. Everyone assumes they would fight at a catch-weight. If you have a link to that statement Id like to see it

Well I probably can't link them on this website, but I'm sure you can manage a google search for Dawson Shaw and Kessler and find the following quotes.

That one should be able to link: http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/boxing/news/story?id=3777034

Palle says in the news that Kessler owes him big time for making him a millionaire. That´s why he has been working on Kessler Vs Larsen even though Kessler has said that he want´s to go to the US. Unbelievable.....
