Kessler pulling out of the Super 6 due to long term injury

There was a period when Rob was on a near suicide watch after Haye-Wlad and Manny-Floyd didn’t come off – he got a bit tiresome but at least his heart was in the right place.

He’s also been bad at posting others’ work and not attributing it (which he has improved with) but, generally, he does a lot to share links from sites and stories. He’s a good addition to the site overall.

The guy from the general forum that broke the news, also said Kessler would retire. Rob also put rumour clearly in the title.

 

There were lots of rumours in the news that Kessler was retiring, all rob did was share that. What's wrong with that?

 

What does this mean for the rest of the tournament now, do we know? Is Froch through to the next stage? It would be great if the WBC belt was now on the line for Froch-Abraham

 

Well these things happen.

Its real life - nothing ever goes according perfectly to the script.

So a fighter gets injured and pulls out of the tournament - same as Taylor was pulled out of the tournament.

Thats the way it goes - the show must go on.

Lets hope Froch can win the super six.

And Mikkel can fight him in 2011.

That would be great - because Froch V Kelseer - this time on UK soil is defently worthy of a rematch.

that was advice rather than an insult - basically "think before you post".

 

Depends of the nature of the loss to AA.

If its a tough fight but a close points loss - dosent change much.

If Froch gets badly beaten - like any fighter his stock will go down and he might have to question his future in the sport.

A loss is not such a bad thing.

But a bad loss - as in - getting badly knocked out or beat up, is damaging to a fighters health and future.

So lets just see how his fight with Arthur goes.

Ye i see no reason why they would make Froch Abraham for the belt if.

The only thing that worries me is how the format will pan out now and if the final round of fight will fall apart i am right in thinking that Monaco still isnt 100% confirmed as they havent recieved royal permision yet and no tickets have been sold Dirrel Ward off? could be some major restructuring

I hope Forch Abraham still goes ahead regardless because its a cracking match up whether its in the tournament or not
