According to Danish newspaper EB (much like the Sun though) Kessler would gladly fight Jeff Lacy in the states. Ok fight for Mikkel to get back on track in my opinion......:bbb
first of all, absolutely no ****ing way in hell Lacy lost to Manfredo. 2nd of all, Kessler would demolish Lacy. Lacy needs to show he is better than ever before taking on Kessler. 3rd of all, Kessler will be avoided like the plague from now on.
Guys like Berrio, who can no longer make big money fights. Kessler can offer Berrio a decent purse and he will take the fight. Then Kessler needs to kick his ass so he can get rated by the ABC's and they will force someone to fight him.
This should not happen, this is a obvious mismatch. Kessler should be fighting someone else like Lucian Bute.
Bika would take a fight with Kessler. Bika will take any fight. Will give Kessler good exposure, Bika's name is a good one presently. Lacy needs easier fights to get back. I can see why Kessler would want this fight - I doubt Lacy's people will let him take it if they had any sense.
Well there are a few questionmarks on Kessler's next move. Mogens Palle is pretty sick and can proberbly not manage more big shows in Denmark. His daugther doesn't seem to have his talent, so one question is wether Kessler is going to kept at home to be main event in Denmark - if so don't exspect top-class opponents. The next question is wether or not Calzaghe moves up in weight- or vacates some of his belts. That would make a lot of openings for a quick titlefight for Kessler as he is highly ranked in ABC. If Calzaghe doesn't then Kessler's options are limited - he is a risk reward nightmare at this point. last question ... is HBO going to try and marked Kessler in the US as they said they would or was it just being polite? - if they are then there should be a lot of options: Lacy, Miranda, Berrion, Bika or even Tarver.
I believe Kessler should get a new promoter, otherwise he will just end up like Brian Nielsen and i think his talent is too great for that. He can fill stadiums in Denmark, but top opposition won't come fighting in Copenhagen. I read somewhere that he is bound to Palle for as long as he is rated in any of the big boxing federations. Which sucks, but maybe someone would be willing to buy him out of the contract. Lacy would be a great comeback opponent for him, but i agree it would be an extremely bad matchup for lacy.
No its not.Kessler is a proven commodity. He certainly is not at a cross roads in his career.Lacy on the other hand is.This fight would be bad bad news for him and he may be on the end of another late TKO. This kid is going to need alot of confidence boosters to shake off the ring rust.He fought horribly against Manfredo a guy who should have been KO`ed inside of 5 rounds.Lacy mentally seems to be broken. It will be interesting to see what how his handlers push forward his career from here.
