While the standards for the Hall of fame are lower than many would like this is really only the case for American fighters. If Kessler was American he would probably have chance of getting in but he's not, so he won't.

Froch is a lock bro, not done yet either.

    Pascal
    Taylor
    Dirrell
    Kessler
    Abraham
    Johnson
    Bute
    Groves

Don't talk about Brits supporting their own when you're an American bandwagoning a Kazakh.

    no.

but to be fair if Kessler had fought 15-20 bums as defences then he would have found a backdoor into hof.

And he was quite capable of doing that. He just never chose such a route, it was too cowardly for the Viking warrior.

I am German, GGG lives in Stuttgart and comes from a Kazakh city with a population after WW2 of 75% Germans. He's a ethnic German resettler with Russian/Korean roots fighting for Kazakhstan. That's multicltural. :good

He wasn't very good. The best guy he beat was Froch, right?

    No.

I think he likely makes it on account of unique ethnicity and being a really big deal on his home turf.

No. I know lesser fighters have gotten in, but that doesn't mean I think all fighters better than Gatti or Willard should be in the IBHOF too. I'd prefer the criteria to be tougher.

There's fighters, from long ago eras and more modern eras, I'd like to see in the IBHOF anyway. Eddie Booker, Esteban Dejesus, Donald Curry, for instance, are all more worthy than Kessler and some of the recent inductees. Booker beat numerous HOFers and kicked Archie Moore's ass.

    Correction
Froch will make it because of resume. All those other reasons are nonsensical. You don't get into the hall of fame because of where you fought at.

Thats the thing, the bar to the hall of fame has been lowered but it shouldn't be. Neither Gatti nor Kessler are hall of fame. The hall of fame is a fraternity that should be reserved for the very best of the sports.
