Gatti (who I don't believe should be in the HOF), was a cult hero in boxing. I can at least rationalize why he made it. Kessler did nothing of relevance. He was a solid smw, that's it.

It's funny I wonder how many people will say that Ward is HOF worthy when his best wins are Froch and Kessler and if they aren't HOF worthy netheir is being the man over a bunch of good but never great fighters. Idk boxing has me twisted where as Ward has so much talent that has gone nowhere , Kessler had a workman like approach but inactivity and battles with his promoter spoiled him much like Ward and while not as talented as Ward is still a good fighter. And Froch yep the king of the upsets really not a lot of talent but his resume I believe is better than the previous 2 but loses H2H against Andre 10/10. At least they all fought that's better than most fighters now.

Hey GGGunbeatable or whatever over here has GGG HOF worthy but not Kessler what a damn joke..... After Frochs poll got finished GGG said he didn't want to move up to 168 and Ward has been calling him out . But hey the man who will fight anyone up to 168 doesn't want to fight a 168 fighter named Ward. The fanboyism is sad. You don't get HOF based on what you perceive are amazing skills over weak opposition you get it off of what you have done. He could go up to 168 and fight Ward but doesn't want to. I have no problem with him staying at 160 but don't make it like anyone at 168 is ducking him when he doesn't even want to move in weight yet.

I love Kessler and wish he'd fight on a bit but we can't be putting everybody into the HOF. Only lost to Froch, Ward, and Calzaghe, so that's decent, but he also only really has one high-quality win.

Who said he doesn't wanna move up? Make him lucrative offer. He signed one for Chavez at 168 when presented. Ward doesn't need to call him out (which his trainer denied anyway, and said they'd want several tuneups), he needs to make an offer

Yes. I think they need to remove Gatti from the HOF, or start including anyone who won a world title.

I agree. Beyer was an important victory - but somehow Germans boxers are not respected outside Germany (renember Sturm getting robbed against Oscar or Axel Shultz against Foreman !!") Kessler destroyed Beyer. The wars against Froch and the great, but losing fight against Calzaghe - wauuwww ! Kessler belongs in HOF.

He is was a very solid and talented fighter, and favored over anyone once Calzaghe retired.... but honestly, he is not HOF to me...

Froch has the resume (at least in today's standard).. and Calzaghe was undefeated with wins over Kessler, Eubank, B Hop,Bika and a few others.. (nothing stellar but he was still undefeated and p4p number 2 for some time and wasn't losing against anyone they put in front of him)... so to me Froch and Calzaghe get in based on those strengths..... Ward will most likely get in, but he has to get more active first... if he only fights one or two more times idk how people will feel but if he keeps fighting he will probably be a show in because he did win the super six and beat Kessler Froch Bika Abraham and a weight drained Dawson......

Kessler just doesn't have the Froch resume, the undefeated Calzaghe record, or the super six win... he did carry Denmark but I'm not sure if that is enough tbh

Braehmer is the real deal. He's the only one who could be a threat to Kovalev (I still have no doubt Kovalev wins though). But he would give Sergey the toughest fight. No wonder Stevenson ducked Jürgen after the fight was almost done!

No. I have Dawson greater and don't consider him hall of fame worthy.
