Kessler will smash anybody from Froch to the ballarina Dawson, just get the fights on! I know - I know, let the rumble begin!
i agree he will dominate from mw to lhw as soon as calz and b hop retire. he just has to take these big fights now and stop fighting bums. first he needs to clean out smw and when he has done with that calz and b hop should be long gone and he can move up to lhw to clean that up as by then he would be ready for lhw.
He's good but not great. That being said, good enough is good enough to rule the SMW division. Dawson is another type of animal though, that'll be extremely hard with his lack of defense.
I agree, i think kessler has a great chance of dominating, but he has to start landing these big fights, not just talking about them! Dont blame him for taking the easier fight after calzaghe because it was a title fight and he was getting a title belt around is waist but his next fight has to be a big one, and where all boxing fans are able to view the fight on tv!
stop fighting bums and make a real name for him self, Bhop will beat him, Calzaghe did, Both Taylor and Dawson will cause him trouble and I think he dosen't want to face either of them yet, His building a monster resume thats made up of no-names, just like Calzaghe did, waiting for big names to get old and then claim hes beaten legends. His young so he better step his game up from early.
He didn't turn down Froch. That was Inkin. For Dawson his promoter said he wasn't getting paid enough. But I think Dawson would be a bit much for a first fight at LHW given his size. Kessler is the closest we'll ever get to a "natural" SMW and he should take advantage of that. Unfortunaletly, Taylor is prolly fighting Froch next (if he gets past Pascal), Bute has all manner of plots and schemes working against him at the moment (the IBF, Larsen, Suerland, Golden Boy etc.) Inkin will run for the hills and Green will probably avoid him like the plague. He should fight Glen Johnson at catchweight.
OK, big mouth, all the fight game needs is an even platform for fighters from all nations to compete upon.. without the ****ed up, dribblish, misadventures taken by the mono IQ'd yankee promoters looking after their own business interests. The game is in disgrace. Idiots in control... under the finacial beckoning of promoters willing to pay Drug fuelled dick heads such as HOP to fight into his late 70s. If HOP was offered $20,000,000 to fight away from the US, he would never take the fight... Why??? Because he is a drug cheat... as any man can see... If you dont believe it, then you are no smarter than the average, uneducated, geographically ignorant, overly self crediting, greedy and one-eyd ****s who run the shows. There are stables of fighters around the globe who deserve the fights, yet, the only way of getting a serious fight on any US bull**** cable, is to be a secondary oponent, willing to sign a 3-4 fight deal after losing the first.
Oh, goodness don't make me explain this again. Americans really aren't up to speed on the SMW division (proof: people actually though Lacy had a good record!!). He fought everyone worth mentioning in SMW btw 2004-2007 except Lacy who Calzaghe beat him to. And besides the JC fight he didn't lose a single round on all scorecards. Mundine and Andrade are currently ranked #3 and #4 by the Ring, respectively. And Sartison was ranked higher than Green when Kessler fought him.
I see why he turned down Dawson but he could have fought and beaten Froch. Froch seems very vulnerable to me, and with Kessler's boxing ability and power, he could have beaten him. Dawson is another story. Kessler would run into the same problems he ran into against Calzaghe, but the only difference is that this one has power is naturally bigger.
