Not any more. Apparently the emeritus distinction was dropped when Kessler went the WBO route.

    Don't ask me why.

I don't know if that was known all along or wheter WBC is pulling a number on Sauerland.

 Since Bat keep on bring Balzay as a good win i want to write something about it but just say to my self to let it go !

Balzay would be beat up by Bika,Andrade ,Magee and maybe Brinkley

I Rate Sartison higher than Balszay. I saw decent power decent combination just to be above average gatekeepers. But nothing special. He has bad stamina, dead tired in the 10th against Stieglitz who doesn't have an insane workrate.

I would rate Sartison higher as well, but he needs to come back from his injury.

Since this has now kind of turned into yet another Bute thread anyway, I'm just going to mention that Showtime's contract with him was extremely dumb, almost Haymon-HBO level bad. It's possible, indeed, starting to look likely that they'll have paid him over $6 million for three fights that do not involve any of the best fighters from the Super Six. If Ward or Froch elect to take a hometown defense or if Froch wins and thinks Kessler deserves first shot at him then the network will have eseentially flushed a good deal of money down the toilet without resolving anything.

I think your'e right. I think Ward and his team want NO part of Bute, that's why they'll take their chances in a rematch with Kessler or a fight with the hyped up Steiglitz.
Steiglitz on the other hand, IMHO, would rather fight Bute if he won, knowing that should he fight Ward, it would be in LA, and he would have no chance with US judges.
Froch could duck BOOTAYE as well, especially if Kessler beats Steiglitz. His lone loss would have been to Kessler so he could duck Bute by syaing he'd rather avenge that defeat.

Sadly there are so many ways for these guys to continue to duck Bute.

My prediction is when the dust settles, Bute will be stuck fighting the losers of the S6/MK-RS fights. He will be forced to move up to LHW with unsettled business at SMW, or Ward will move up to LHW for BHOP/Pascal etc should he somehow be mandated to fight Bute.

My point exactly.........I just wish it was mandated by Showtime that the winners of the S6/MK-RS fights do battle with Bute in succession. But no, your'e right, both will elect to fight hasbeens, nobodies, and pretenders and get away with it saying Bute lowballed them.:rofl

Well well, Kessler has dropped his Emeritus status. That means he will have less leverage on Ward after the super 6. What are Sauerland plans about Kessler's future?

On the thread subject, since I'll be in Quebec city to see Bute-Johnson, I'll miss Kessler-Stieglitz on Showtime.

Ward will not earn big money if he chooses the easy way. He doesn't sell very much and if HBO signs him, they'll want him to face the best. He could take one "easy" fight but he risks to lose a belt doing so. I don't know what will happen. Business is not over in the super 6 division.

You don't really risk the belt in a "easy" fight.

When talking about facing the best we talk about: Kessler, Hopkins, Froch rematch... not only Bute.
