Dawson's weak LHW division is still better than Calzaghe's weak SMW division.

To be fair Woods was never amazing as Tarver and Johnson showed

Johnson has had a good career no doubt....but even this 40 year old version of him nearly beat Dawson, and Dawson is the guy that people think would smash Kessler....but I don't see that happening

Leaving Europe to leaving the US are two totally different things. I'm an American who lives in the UK (England) and you can drive to places like Wales and they have their own language. In fact most European countries have their own language and completely different cultures and religions. To think you'd get the same patriotic support Americans get is pure ignorance. My guess is you have never been outside the US... if you have congrats, next time open your eyes though.

Having lived in England for a long time I find it cringe worthy reading replies of some of my fellow Americans... we truely are gods most narrow minded and ignorant nation. Had it not been for Calzaghe you would still be trying to work out which 'state' the Welsh flag represented. Do they still not teach you kids anything at school? The world is bigger than the US my friend

Only by name.......the guys are either old/past their best or young and nothing special

The SMWs Calzaghe beat were all the right side of 35 and therefore usually more dangerous than a veteran living of their past glories

Ok, and I'll admit to somewhat forgetting the Jones win when discussing Johnson  (as above, it's noticeable how his resume dips after that).

I agree that Johnson's resume as a whole (which is the only fair way to appraise it) has better names than the others.

If I can rephrase, I think Mundine and Beyer (Siaca to a lesser extent, though of course he beat Mundine) contain wins that compare to the wins on Johnson's record outside Jones. Wins over guys that may have picked up belts here and there, but tended to lose against the elite.

I'll concede the point you were making in light of the above though!

he knocked him out yes but the fight was at least competitive til that moment. He is a very underrated fighter by most but I still say Calzaghe has the tools to beat him. Calzaghe would also beat Dawson. I think Hopkins and Kessler would beat Dawson too.

You'd look better if you posted this two posts before I admitted exactly that (well Jones anyway, Tarver, as ever, is monumentally overrated), rather than two posts after :rofl

Get over yourself. You sound like a self-righteous, pompus jerk. The U.S and Europe are comparable in size. While traveling from state to state is not the same as traveling traveling from Euro country to Euro country; it's still a whole lot easier to travel within Europe than it is to travel from the States to Europe.

You wouldn't say that if you'd ever tried to travel into London from just outside London in rush hour ;)

The fact of the matter is, the guy Mayweather says is the best fighter in the world shouldnt be scraping past a Johnson that is 40 years old.....I liked how he looked against Tarver.....but Antonio is 40, Chad is 26!
