And so what. Would Pavlik have moved up for Dawson? Or for some other LHW? No ofcourse not - he did for Hopkins. Hopkins is a legend. Most fighters will move for a legend - and that goes for all.

You still didnt answer the question.

You have more time for this circle than I do. So last post. Palle screwed HBO once with Miranda. They thought they had a deal. Even posted it on their web site. They are interested enough in Kessler to give him a second chance. What does Palle do? Dawson is a reasonable match up. That is why HBO pitched it. Palle didn't even go into discussions, he just rejected it out of hand according to what we know. Weight would have been part of the negotiations. But we will never know. Palle wants to stick to his short list? Let him keep Mikkel in Europe then. Seems to be his REAL first choice. And that is his perogative.

    Two things:

First of all. You are wrong about Miranda and HBO. Miranda talked to Showtime (not HBO!!) about the fight. Kessler meanwhile got HBO interested and got the fight recogniced by WBA as a titlefight. Then when it was time to sign, Miranda had signed with Abraham. HBO has stated that they were fully on Kessler's side in that one.

Secondly. Yeah, you seem to be just another one with this attitude: If we cannot get rid of Kessler to some bigger fighter in another division, then we will try to ignore him. Because he is too dangeorus to have fight American fighters in his own division.

Didn't Winky turn down a rematch at 160 after the first fight? But knowing Taylor, if the money was there, he'd take it.

I'm the one person on this board that believes Taylor suffered from weight issues at 160 and that is why we saw the Taylor we did at the end. He tried to get Pavlik to take the first fight at a catch weight over 160! Now he claims Florida is melting the pounds off though. If Pavlik moves up, I look for him to move down if what he says about the Florida heat making it easier for him to make weight is true.

    Its just childish bias.

Kessler has called out Pavlik, Taylor, Bute and Hopkins. Since they don't seem too keen to face Kessler in the ring should we then mock them?

not interested in this fight to be honest. i would much rather see dawson against hopkins or calzaghe. kessler still has interesting fights on the horizon in bute, taylor, froch or even a andrade rematch.

Its funny how a week ago people on here were saying that this match up would never get made. Now all of the sudden, they're saying Kessler is ducking Dawson when the facts are there has been no fight offer from either side, just Palle stating that they're more interested in fighting either Calzaghe or Hopkins if they move up instead of Dawson and giving lame reasons.

The title of this thread is rather misleading. Is it a fight I'd like to see? Yes. Should Kessler get new management? Maybe. I wouldn't mind seeing both guys clean out their divisions before meeting up, and don't blame Kessler for wanting to do that before moving up in weight. People are talking about a double standard for potential fights with Calzaghe or Hopkins. Well those guys are old, and more importantly established. Dawson isn't a nobody. He is a unifed belt holder. But he isn't champion in his own division and has no real career defining fights on his resume. Kessler is at least number 1 in his division, he's not undisputed either. Its interesting, but seems pre-mature to me.

Dawson should do everything he can to make this fight happen.

If he beats kessler, a very high paying fight vs Calzaghe awaits.

Kessler would fight anybody but Mogens Palle is protecting his only cash cow...

    I hope Kessler would go for Hopkins,Dawson, Bute,Wright, Inkin and Frogh/Mendy ..
