If Froch beats Pascal he'll be proven enough in my book for Kessler's next opponent ... and he'll hold the WBC belt - Kessler has said more than once that he wants to unify and has proven his desire to do so.

Inkin - not sold on him at all and I doubt very much his handlers would let him face Kessler - he going to be facing german-based fighters for awhile.

Bute - acceptable in my book - but I doubt very much that Bute's people are keen to put him up against Kessler at this point - especially considering his fight with Andrade. Furthermore the likely senario is: Bute-Larsen -> Bute-Andrade or the other way around before Kessler will be in line.

Inkin's claim would be the WBO-belt - nothing more

Larsen is much better than his reputation here and it would be a hudge fight in Denmark - the biggest ever! Larsen is good enough to beat Bute on a good day (5 years ago no doubt). And acceptable for national reasons ... it's the Mundine-Green of Denmark - just without the hate between the two :)

Bute is top5 SMW - even though he did lose his last fight - so of course acceptable - if a fighter like Bute isn't acceptable as an opponent, then matchmaking becomes pretty hard.

Kessler can unify the Super middle weight division and then move up weight, there's no point moving up weight for one fight.

OK on Froch. I just don't like Pascal at all, so to me that bout is something of a non-starter. But unifications are nice. ...

    Inkin -- no. Simply, no.

Bute is acceptable for me, too, but that's as low as I would go. If you pass on Dawson for Bute, meh.

I like your path for Bute better, anyway. He's not ready for Kessler and may not ever be.

True on unification. I guess I'm so sick of the orgs right now that I just don't care. Strip this guy, this guy gets a title shot for no reason, this guy gets ranked in the top 10 for no reason, etc. But I see your point.

My major point of contention here is the wisdom of Kessler/Bute, from Bute's perspective. I think Kessler would smack him around something fierce.

He turned down Miranda. Did you think he would hop right in the ring with Dawson??????

    No balls on Mr. Kessler
