Of course you don't believe it.
It would mean Kessler is not superman after all, wouldn't it, dear CALZAGHE "fan"?

    Pathetic.

Does it lower your oppinion of Taylor that Taylor has chumped out of Kessler's challenge several times?

Does it lower your oppinion of Pavlik that he has chumped out of Kessler's challenge several times?

Some 'fans' are just incredibly nationalitically biased - and will have completely different rules for one fighter than for another. :/

This was a VERY pathetic attempt to save face. Miranda was days from signing with AA. Palle negotiated in bad faith. Told Miranda and the network they had a deal and then didn't sign the papers. When Palle found out he wasn't getting an immediate shot at Mundine, he pulled this crap. I was having private messages with P2K so I am quite well aware of what was happening and the time line on this. I knew it was AA before the rest of the board and had to bite my tounge. Palle's release was to give Kessler fans something to hang on to because Kessler was getting eaten up over backing out of the Miranda fight. I see it is STILL working for him. :-(

hehe ... Kessler fought the then rated #3 in SMW in Australia in his first defense of the title and he beat former undefeated Andrade 120-108 - same Andrade who just beat the number #2 in SMW... and Kessler gave Calzaghe his hardest fight ever... tsk tsk...

    Mundine was ranked 4th then.
    Bute beat Andrade.
Reid gave Calzaghe his toughest fight ever.

Joe Calzaghe: "Kessler is the best fighter I have ever fought"

This is getting ridiculous. Reality is obvious, yet some people seem hell-bent on distorting it.

I think "the best fighter that has ever faced Calzaghe" and "the fighter who gave Calzaghe his toughest fight" could be two different figthers, no?

It could be, but I don't see why this is even relevant?

Why are you getting so worked up over peoples opinions?

It's a far cry from being 'ridiculous' unless you are obsessed with Kessler.

Because they are so obviously wrong. The Miranda thing has been up many times (and at the very least there is contradicting evidence, but the most likely scenario is that Palle feels loyal to HBO and herefor wanted to move the fight to HBO. Just look at the Dawson-thing - again an HBO discussion). Joe has clearly said who the best fighter he has fought is and so on.

I think Kessler is very good, but I think he would loose to Bute and Taylor. I don't think Kessler should go to LHW just because Dawson doesn;t have anyone worth fighting at 175. That is not anyone at 168's fault. Bute, Taylor and Kessler - along with Ward, Froch, Direll etc. make for mouth-watering prospects in 2009 and 2010.
