It is very very simple. He is not interested in jumping up and down in weight. Hopkins didnt do that. Joe didnt do that etc.

    Why should Kessler?

Taylor is far more proven and has a better resume than unknown Dawson.

Why the **** would Kessler jump up for Dawson when there are more proven and more exciting fights in his own division? And why would he do it when his dream has ben to try to unify?

If the only reason is that we want to see Kessler loose because the best way to have maximum American success would be if Kessler could loose to Dawson and Taylor therefore could rule 168. But if we just wish for Kessler to loose then let's arrange Kessler-Haye or Kessler-Vitaly - why dont we?

Secondly, Dawson-Kessler is likely to happen if Dawson doesnt grow out of LHW. Let him first build a name. Let him unify or something and let Kessler unify at 168. THEN a fight makes sense. Right now, Dawson is noone to go up for. If Dawson wants to come and fight for the 168 WBA belt then by all means let's get it on! (and Dawson has said he can make 168 - which I dont believe for a second). If he can then it would be probably the 4th or 5th option at 168 for Kessler. Taylor at least would be a far bigger fight. Dawson is not very known in the US and is completely unknown outside of the US.

What fight would be more exciting at 168? Kessler is the favourite against everyone at the weight, except for Dawson, who could very well boil down to 168 and kick Kessler's ass there.

Dawson is an unknown that should try to make a name for himself at 175 first. While Kessler is considered the best at 168, Dawson is currently lucky to be considered no. 3 at his weight.

    JOHNSON?

    who???

who is this 3rd boxer at 175 that Dawson is "lucky to be considered" better than.

Let's be real, Kessler is orthodox, jab oriented, 1-2 fighter. He will always struggle against Lefties;particularly lefties with Dawson's height, length, speed, and offensive variety. Dawson is not a huge name so it would be stupid for Kessler to move up to fight him. Hopefully, all the people who claim Kessler can just move up to 175 and knockout Dawson without breaking a sweat will come back to reality. If Dawson is such an easy fight for Kessler like many of them claim, he and his team wouldn't be balking at this fight.

If the idea is that we want to see Kessler loose because "Kessler is the favourite against everyone at the weight" then why not Kessler - Vitaly?

If we appliued the thinking that a fighter like Kessler should not even bother fight someone like Taylor.... then surely Adamek should not bother with the rest at CW but should go for Vitaly. If he doesn't fight Vitaly, Adamek has dropped the ball. Pavlik is the favorite against anyone at MW, so he has dropped the ball if he doesn't fight Kessler asap, right?

No, it is not right - it is bs.

Kessler wants to follow the tradition of a dominant fighter in a division. Just like Hopkins and Joe have done. Stop matching him up with Dawson and Haye jsut because some people hate to see him win and would rather have him loose so that Taylor can succeed.

If Kessler fights a big fight next than this Dawson thing can be understood.

If not then he deserves to be flamed.
