These three are sure to be arch rivals in the years to come: Kessler, Pavlik and Bute. These may upset that though: Abraham, Taylor, Froch and Inkin.
i think right now kessler wins a close fight but in 1-2 years with a little mor experience with andrade and other big names bute will be ready for kessler
Well, I think he is pretty much through developing now as he is not a teen anymore. He is a seasoned champ and I think he is pretty much as ready as he will ever be. However since the fight is a huge risk for either fighter I think it would be wise for both to wait getting it on.
1) Every fighter keeps on developing, even if their physical abilities erodes over time. 2) They should get it on. Why wait?
Lucian Bute is improving faster than Mikkel Kessler is. Lucian Bute will improve to a greater extent than Mikkel Kessler. At his peak, Lucian Bute will be a more complete and better fighter than Mikkel Kessler. Lucian Bute isn't ready to beat Mikkel Kessler yet, but by the time they fight, he will be ready. Lucian Bute will fight Mikkel Kessler to win, not just to make up the numbers. They cannot get it on now because Lucian Bute is recovering from his injury and has still to fight his mandatory, Librado Andrade, in autumn. It is not unlikely that Lucian Bute and Mikkel Kessler will fight in 2009 sometime. You should expect the fight to be very close. Lucian Bute will certainly be no walkover for Mikkel Kessler. Lucian Bute will have a good chance of winning.
Lucian Bute also is 28 years old. He will not improve very much physically neither will Kessler for that matter. I do not see Bute suddenly keeping his hands up and throwing better punches. Kessler's punches will find their mark with ease.
Of course he is improving faster. Kessler is not as flawed as Bute is/was. How do you gather that Bute ever will be anywhere near Kessler. Nothing he does is anywhere near the quality that Kessler has. Nor does he have as many facets as Kessler. Bute can hone his game, but he can't create attributes that aren't there. 1) Andrade will most likely win against Bute. 2) If not, then they will get it on in 2009(or should, unless his team keeps saying he isn't ready). 3) It won't be a walkover, of course not, Bute is a top boxer, and anyone has a chance of winning a fight. I give it 1%.
