I was leaning towards the KO for Kessler but I can see this fight going all 12 with high level of punch poutput and Dawson hiding from round 7 or so. Much depends on where the fight is at, but my overall conclusion is that Kessler wins this easy. If nit by TKO then by a pretty good wide ud.

Dawson is not a nightmare for kessler - calzaghe was(and is). Dawsons style would give Kessler the benefit of hitting Dawson with the straight right, all night.

if dawsons power is average, the hell does that make calzaghe's ? considering he hits a lot harder than Joe does

Calzaghe's is less than average. Joe being a not very powerful puncher does not increase Dawson's power I'm afraid.

Kessler late stoppge. TBH Dawson just hasn't impressed me too much in the 3 fights I've seen him in so far, Kessler looks the more solid, rounded fighter.

Calzaghe's overall resume is way superior. Even his one win at that weight eclipses any of Dawson's. Remember, thats the guy that beat Tarver's (and his last opponents) ass; who Dawson is now fighting :yep

Dawson: 2" height advantage. 3" reach advantage. Faster, younger.

    Dawson easy decision, 117-111.

Too fluid for the Dane, who does not have the power to exploit Dawson's only perceived weakness.

One with the speed, workrate and boxing skill of Dawson? Yes, he too would beat Kessler.

I think Dawson would stop Kessler, especially since he is naturally bigger, a better boxer and styles match up favors him. Kessler was out classed by Calzaghe( a great southpaw with the angles). He would run into more problems with Dawson because he is a harder puncher, is better on the outside than Calzaghe and is 6'3. Kessler would be in trouble if he got into the trouble he was in with Calzaghe when he was hurt to the body, because Chad is an excellent body puncher and would have stayed on him. The only way Kessler would win is by knockout, and i couldn't see Kessler hitting Dawson flush like that.

I agree. Kessler is the better fighter, but stylistically Dawson is a bad match-up for Kessler.
