Bute was past ***** street he was out on his feet and would have been stopped if more time was left in the round. Dawson has never been hurt that badly in the ring before.
Of course we are letting the exhausting effect and the beating he took in the last round out.......but Dawson wouldn't have made it to the 12th in that type of fight.:yep
Quit making excuses. He took the fight and came to win and if he didn't feel like he had a chance and was that weight drained he should of pulled out instead of taking a L, like Guzman did. I'm tired of this weight draining excuses used by fighter's and their fans to discredit other fighter's wins. Unless you're coming down from 2 classes to fight at a lower class then it's no excuse.:nono
And yet the glass chin never shatters, otherwise he would have lost by now. Tell me, when was the last time Dawson was hurt in any of the knockdowns? His chin is not iron but the knockdowns have more to do with his lapse in concentration, his refusal to fight a safe fight when he's winning and the fact that he has faced some heavy hitters. In other words, he is susceptible to flash knockdowns, nothing more. If that is his only liability, he is leaps and bounds ahead of Kessler, basically in terms of every other boxing attribute.
It is when the guy moved up 25 lbs in his next fight. The man couldn't make weight anymore,it's clear it affected him.Shot and weight drained fighters aren't big wins except if they are in style, kinda like Mayweather vs Corrales or something like that, and this fight sure wasn't like that,it was tough for Dawson
And arguably lost the fight almost getting his ass out of there.Just for the record I had it a draw but if it would to give it to somebody I'd give it to Dawson
He doesn't have bad stamina but its not particuarly a strength of his either. He fights in spurts a lot of the time, and tired visibly under the pressure of Johnson. If you have really good stamina that shouldn't happen.
His spurts are awfully frequent though. And against Johnson, particularly in the latter half, Dawson brought in his B game and nearly lost. Look at the Tarver fight to see Dawson at his best. If that's what he throws against Kessler, it doesn't matter what Kessler brings. In that situation, the only way Dawson can lose is by KO.
That depends who he's fighting. If you are fighting an old man like Tarver that stands there doing nothing you can throw a lot of punches. Once he tired against Johnson he was relying on spurts. I'm not saying its bad, but its not great at the same time.
AXE we all know you hate kessler and you have never ever give kessler a chance about ANY opponents...you are onedimensionel. But wait and see... someday you have to recon kessler as the very best in smw...cuz kessler will be no.1 with out any doubt!:good
