were this fight to happen and kessler wins would it finally shut the idiots up who refuse to give calzaghe and kessler any credit ? i doubt it . seriously though, i really want this fight, would be ultra-competitive.
Yes, a good match up between two of boxings top players. I'd hope to see it someday. But you'll see lots of good match ups involving Pavlick who fights more than he talks.
This would be a great fight, but I don't see it happening any time soon, as Pavlik is only going above middleweight for big name fighters, and Kessler just isn't there.
awesome prospect - i'd like to see kessler abraham and kessler bute first, those fights would for sure turn some heads, then perhaps the incentive would be there for pavlik.
The better question is: Will all the idiots who give Pavlik zero credit, finally shut up about how much greater Kessler is than Pavlik if Pavlik were to beat Kessler in this fight. This is actually the fight I want most for Pavlik as well as Abraham and Calzaghe. I think Kessler would be the toughest fight of these 3. Hope it happens in '09.
Somebody starts a thread on this match-up damn near every day. http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=83360
Kessler KO`s that bum Pavlik. A lot of people are on pavliks jock but once he loses they`ll do the old ESB u-turn and trash him.....was always overrated, never fought anyone, one dimensional etc etc............
This division is pissing me off. So many potentially great fights to be made and yet feck all is being done to make them. Taylor-Froch, Taylor-Kessler, Froch-Kessler, Pavlik-Kessler, Bute-Pavlik, Bute-Froch. Still nothing happening.
Pascal hardly gets the blood tingling does he though. All these fighters are basically in their prime as well. Don't want these fights to happen when they are all on the collective downward slide. Kessler 29, Taylor, 29, Andrade 29, Froch 30. Go get it done!
Boxers are catchweighting left, right, and centre at the moment. Pavlik is the one who could potentially screw himself over as he can stay at middle but he seems more interested in the greater good ie. Good fights for the fans. So I don't see weight being a big problem.
