They both fought Froch completely different, Abraham was seemingly SCARED of trading shots with Froch, meanwhile Kessler who is more of a boxer dogged it out with Carl. But, how do a fight between these two guys end up? Considering Froch now "wants to go back to Middleweight so everyone isn't taller than him". As you all know, I've been a big Arthur fan, but he didn't even lay it all on the line, he turtled up... I've been harsh against Lucian Bute, but you know what.. at least he dukes it out. So funny Arthur talks so much about Tyson, Tyson was a midget fighting 6'3+ men, dogging it out even when he was getting his arse beat. Arthur turles up and moans with excuses after fights.
Who are the opponents over six foot that Abraham beat? I only know of Ikeke and Simon. Ikeke's signature win was an old and worn out Emmet Linton. Simon was a philly club fighter who had been earning a living beating up Bronco McKart's left overs. Who are the guys who can really crack that AA beat? He had a very contoversial fight with the pre-pavlik version of Miranda, stopped the post-pavlik version, and ducked Zuniga. Who are the tall fighters who have a nice stiff jab, some boxing skills, and can punch, that Arthur beat? There are none. Half blind Kessler takes a UD. Peak Kessler stops AA in 7-8 rounds.
I doubt any version of Kessler stops Abraham. He has a quality chin, and has not even come close to being stopped. Who has Kessler stopped at the top level? He couldn't stop Andrade, who had a good chin but was knocked down and beaten out by Bute.
Agreed. Kessler is a very solid fighter. He has some great skills and a very quick and strong right hand. Two bad about his vision he really impressed me dominating Froch in that fight and his willingness to box and trade beautifully.
Prime Kessler would absolutely destroy Abraham. It would be an easy KO. Post-prime Kessler takes a one-sided decision victory against Abraham. After the way Abraham performed, he must be so ashamed of himself. He let his fans and himself down. After the Dirrell fight, I was maybe it was a very bad night and Dirrell is so skilled. But after what happened with Froch, no excuse. He really is flawed.
