Kessler vs Calzaghe.a little update

I don't give massive credit for beating Beyer either. Beyer was a decent champion, but nothing more. I had him around number #10 in SMW at the time he fought Kessler. I think calling him garbage and the likes is a harsh judgement.

 

I think that is a fair description.

The main difference between Lacy and Beyer is that they were from Germany and the US. Beyer was actually impressive agaisnt Sheika and made a good come back against highly touted Green. fights that an american press could and would have hyped.

I believe Lacy was 5-6 when Calzaghe met him. Kessler, Calzaghe, Mundine were clearly better and seeing that mediocre Tsypko drew (in reality) with Lacy, several other fighters would have had a good chance.

 

I said ages ago I was bored with this Calzaghe/Kessler fans arguing and I was not participating any longer.Everything that could have been said HAS been said(hundreds of times)

 

So who do you think would win David UK?

Kessler isn't a legit champion because he hasn't beaten good enough opponents... (Kessler beat two reigning champions and two mandatories on abrod...)

Calzaghe can't be blaimed for not beating that many good opponents because there wasn't any-one better around...

So I guess Calzaghe is rated above Kessler because he has been beating the weak opponents in SMW for 10 years and Kessler for only two years - or???

 

It was very moronic.
Calzaghe will gain a lot by beating Kessler (if he can somehow do it). Kessler has 2 belts ( 2 more prestigous belts which Calzaghe has never held), and a great record, and is establishing himself at a much quicker rate than Calzaghe did/is. A win over Kessler would probably make Calzaghe the greatest SMW ever.

 

I think Calzaghe would win, but if he doesn't I'll give Kessler all the credit going

The Aussies are now moaning & groaning that we have sent a 'B' team for the next, away leg of the Tri Nations. They should be so lucky as to even have a 'B' team! We smacked them in the first game and had the All Blacks on toast, with 10 minutes to go. Then our idiots defended the lead, instead of carrying on with the winning pattern of play. The All Blacks love it when 'you' kick it back to them...and so, they won....but only just.

And....this morning, the Aussies gave them a smack!

The World Cup will be very interesting.

As an aside: American football is so boring with all of that stop, start crap. Those guys wouldn't last 20 minutes playing our brand of the ball game.

That's right........ They won a final in a home series........but have done sweet **** all playing away from home.
