It's seems like it's on between Kessler and Calzaghe so forget the fan talk for a while and tell me what kind of fight you expect this to be

One possibility is that sometime in the fight Calzaghe may come out really fast and jump straight onto Kessler and work on closing the punching distance. Kessler will either cover, jab, move and try set up some big shots or try to mix it up with Calzaghe. If he mixes it up either he will hurt Calzaghe or Calzaghe may force a stoppage, by giving him no room or time to set his feet.

Kessler has a good straight right so if Calzaghe neglects head movement he may get cracked. I think Calzaghe will need to really lay some big shots early to at least discourage Kessler, but if Kessler hit Calzaghe hard it might just fire him up more and increase the pace.

Im actually thinking this doesnt go the distance.

Just recently I saw Calzaghe vs Viet 2 (I think) and he outboxed the guy from range and used combos to hurt him......I dont see this happening to Kessler. Although he has some similarities, he is more rounded in that he moves well and has stronger punches with better timing.

After all that, I really wouldnt have a clue how this fight goes and thats why its a good fight.

This is important.... If calzaghe leaves himself open on the attack as in in the veit fight, he'll get countered. Kesslers timing and precision is excellent when countering.

I'm thinking that JC may take the first couple of rounds, till Kessler gets his baring. From then on in, Kessler will dominate JC and eventually stop him TKO

Tough fight either way for either fighter. Calzaghe fans shouldn't get their hopes for another "Lacy" type fight, and Kessler fans shouldn't get their hopes up that Kessler's gonna dominate every single round (as has been the case in all but one of his 39 fights).

It's all a matter of who turns up on the night and can implement their plan and style the most. Will Calzaghe's speed, flurry's, work-rate and expierence be the difference? Or will Kessler's size, strength, jab and youth be the difference?

I'm thinking Calzaghe is starting to wind down, too. While Kessler is in his physical prime (maybe not expierence-wise, though). So I'm leaning towards Kessler by a close, tough decision. As it looks like it might be in Wales, it'll be even closer...

I feel this might be very similar to Calzghe - Reid a very close fight that can go anyway.

The main key to this fight is Kessler's jab, he was able to offset Mundine's speed with the jab and "should" do the same against Joe. I know Mundine ain't Joe but if Kessler gets that jab going, I don't see anybody beating him right now...

JC will be tricky to hit with the jab imo.

Yes, plus he has a good jab himself if he choses to use it.

Just remember - for some reason Joe loves that his opponents get a shock when they find out that he is really at least 6'1". However, Kessler should already know this as they have met before (and as we can see Joe looks taller than Mikkel):
