Dawson, without question: too big, too fast, southpaw, workrate. Kessler would do well to stay at 168.

Kessler. He's too consistent and busy for Dawson. Kinda like Glen Johnson, but younger and faster.

I would favour Dawson but I wouldn't be going anywhere near a bookmaker. With his speed and southpaw advantage he is certain to get the better of Kessler from range, which is Kessler's own game.

But still, Kessler has the accuracy, timing and power in his right hand to shake Dawson badly. It could only take one huge shot.

    What planet are you on?

Kessler would dominate a dawson, To accurate, fast and powerful.
Dawson would look like a rag doll in there.

Kessler, and there's a real chance he KO's Dawson.

Mikkel is too good, experienced and busy for Chad Dawson. He's also not on his last legs (Harding, Johnson, Tarver) or about to move up 25 pounds (Adamek).

Mikkel landed some good shots on Joe, more so than almost anyone ever has on Calzaghe. Chad is easy to find and doesn't have the world's best chin.

I would love to see this fight.

Chad has quickness and length (2 inches taller, 3.5" reach) advantages, but MK wouldn't have any problems getting to Dawson. And MK can handle speed. Just ask Anthony Mundine.

Huh, it's the typical example of 'A wins are you stupid?' 'No, B wins, are you stupid?' arguments.

Truly a fight that should only give a clear answer in the ring. Must happen!

I suggest people watch Adamek vs. Dawson before making a pick. Adamek has a similar stlye to Kessler, except that he's bigger and hits harder.

    Adamek's weight in Dawson fight:

Adamek's weight in his next fight:

    lbs

The second fight took place just 4 months after the Dawson fight. Adamek won by 7th round KO. Looks like the extra bulk helped him out.

    Two words: "weight drained"

Anyone who wants to talk about how much Roy Jones suffered from losing weight so fast for the first Tarver fight might want to ask Adamek how he felt for the Dawson fight, a bout in which he still managed to drop Dawson.

Dawson is a good fighter, and I realize he is the 'last hope' for many fans, but he's nowhere near what he's being made out to be. That's why he dropped the WBC belt rather than face him:

Everyone has an excuse when they lose. Adamek was dismantled in that fight. Being weight drained isn't going to cause you to lose that badly. And I see you're convienently leaving out that Dawson was all set to fight Diaconu before he pulled out with an injury. Let's also not forget that Showtime was all about a Dawson vs. Tarver fight and wasn't going to air a Dawson vs. Diaconu fight in Romania.

Not only did Dawson drop the belt, he ran like a chump to the WBC prez to get a note from mommy not to have to fight Diaconu. Pathetic. Whatever stones Chad had for facing Diaconu seem to be forever gone.

I hope you didn't pick Roy last night, Reg.

Hey, Adamek lost. No problem there. But I don't ever want to hear about Roy's weight loss vs Tarver, either. That garbage has gotten more run than Kareem at the end of his career, whereas no Dawson fanboys ever mention the Adamek info.

Last 3 guys I said were overhyped:

    . Result: Margarito TKO's Cotto

    . Result: Klitschko TKO Peter

Pretty clear I know about overhyped fighters waiting to be exposed.

I understand Dawson's appeal, and the need some have to rally behind him. Just be ready for the letdown once he's done with the Senior's Tour.

If Calzaghe, Kessler, or even the limited but powerful Diaconu get ahold of Chad, be prepared for lights-out on the Dawson Hype Train.

Showtime and Team Dawson are smart to keep Chad away from Adrian Diaconu. They know they have a marketable fighter, and they are likely to milk that asset for as long as they can while facing geriatrics like Tarver. Johnson was more than they bargained for. They're calling out Joe C because he's about to be 37 and there's just too much $$$ to be made. Plus, if Dawson loses to Calz, so what? He gets more exposure and can gain respect by fighting a legend.
