He was shot by the minute he entered the ring against Froch. No stamina and no punch resistance, although Taylor was a good fighter.
I had a dream a few weeks ago that Kessler won by KO. Can't see it happening in real life though, tbh.
How convenient. So he wasn't shot after his first defeat to Pavlik. And he wasn't shot after his loss in the return. He wasnt even ahot after his victory against Lacy. But he was definitely shot as soon as he entered the ring against Froch where he displayed 'no (discernable) punch resistance'. Well you've certainly convinced me.
Oh c'mon - this is a technical discussion. My point is that it is unfair to compare Kessler to Taylor when their latest fights doesnt look like each other at all. Kessler was headbutted and got cuts because of Ward and the ref. And he lost by technical decision. Taylor was already knocked the **** out by freakin Pavlik. There is a difference. And you know this. Stop making sense out of nothing.
Both fighters look really good. Glad I'm not the only one who thought Froch looked nervous. I don't think that means much. During the ring walk for the Taylor fight Carl looked like they were leading him to the electric chair, and we saw how that worked out. I don't have Showtime, so I'll be watching the fights on HBO. I hope somebody does a good round by round so I can keep tabs on this one.
Good. This fight is a major turning point for the tournament. If Kessler wins, he's right back in it.
A lot of people will disagree with me (and probably laugh out loud) but i never thought that Taylor look shot in any of his fight. Pavlik rematch was close. Outboxed Froch and almost koed him. Hold his own against Abraham until late rounds. He just wasn't good enough... Now of course, after that devastating ko from Abraham, he's probably what you call "shot".
You make it sound as if Kessler was doing well against Ward and was unlucky to lose due to the stoppage and technical decision. But the reality is that Kessler was totally dominated and outclassed, the head butts and ref had nothing to do with it.
