:D Everybody can be wrong as anything can happen but...I'm happy when it is a Douche who's on the wrong side.

Some idiots probably DO think so, because of that oh-so-brutal "knockdown" he suffered. :-(

    Let us review:

    [yt]r8T5E8QsnvI[/yt]

We'll take it from two minutes into the 1st round (2:10 into the video itself), after they split out of a clinch.

0:55 of the round countdown clock - Green actually lands a really nice uppercut to the lungs countering a diving Kessler 1-2. This took the wind out of Kessler, and together with his own reckless diving motion is probably directly responsible for him being flat-footed and out of defensive position when...

0:53 of the round countdown clock - Green lands a huge peach of a right hand to the jaw. Kessler, admittedly, is hurt by it. He is staggered by it. He pogo-hops on one shaky leg from it, back toward the ropes, for the next two seconds. He stays up. That right hand didn't knock him down.

0:51 of the round countdown clock - Green runs up to him and slaps another right hand around into the back of Kessler's left glove by his face. With the front curl of his right glove still bait-hooked around Kessler's left wrist, Green starts spinning to his right while trying to slap at Kessler's body with left hooks. Green basically throws Kessler down. Yes, he's tapping him on the body with his left while doing so - but watch their feet. Green drags Kessler off the ropes and flings him.

The right hand at 0:53 was huge, but if Kessler didn't go down from that (unless you want to call his fall at 0:49 - four seconds later - as a delayed reaction from it) it's unlikely that Green's follow-up right that got mostly blocked at 0:53 or the couple of weak barely turned-over left-hand slaps to the ribs at 0:51 would do what the 0:53 punch couldn't.

He was staggered badly by the 0:53 punch, and it left him incapacitated enough to lose the ensuing wrestling match with Green by the ropes and get flung down. So if you want to use the "he wouldn't have gone down if the punch hadn't landed" criteria - fine. Indirectly, that big punch was ultimately responsible for him winding up on the floor. (not as a delayed reaction from the punch itself, IMO, but because it left him indisposed to deal with Green rushing into him with blocked shots and then spinning him away from the ropes with a sneaky little fingers-crooked-around-the-wrist action).

No clean blow directly led to him being KD. Certainly not the partially blocked right at 0:51 nor the light taps to the side and back with the left hand that followed.

Kessler is hurt - but I agree he might been able to stay on his feet if it wasn't for the throw ... But still it was proberbly to his advantage, that he went down and got the 8-count. He was up pretty fast and his eyes looked good - although he was on flat feet for awhile there ... but he did manage to get a very good shot in on Green with a few seconds left.

I am a Mikkel Kessler fan, but did Alan Green come to win this fight he barley threw anything other than a jab. Alan green looked shite in this fight. Alan Green was Brutally KTFO but did he come for a payday those denmarks are probably worth alot of Benjamins. Did Alan take a dive did Alan go to copenhagen just for the green.

    Krones, you mean? :yep

I'm pretty sure they didn't pay Allan Green in cash.

They should have paid him in gift certificates to Payless ShoeSource.

Green sucks. Kessler getting rocked and dropped in the first was pretty eye opening. A fight with someone like Johnson or even a Froch rematch would be dangerous for the Dane.

He was lucky to only get flung.
