Kessler vs Hopkin

the older hopkins gets the more a chance kessler has. but make no mistake, kessler only ever beats an old hopkins.

 

Kessler is fundementally sound like Jermain Taylor. Only with greater durability, power and a strong mind.

Kessler would defeat Hopkins, he has no weakness to expoit. There is a reason Hopkins has called out Froch and Pavlik but not Kessler.

 

there sure is. froch and pavlik have won big fights.

 

Hopkins is cagey but stylistically I don't see him spoiling Mikkel's boxing like Joe did. If Jermain can escape with close wins using natural talent and conventional technique, Kessler (superlative on both fronts) would probably take this, especially as Bernard is getting older, despite his struggles to convince himself (and occasionally us) that he isn't.

 

While i like kessler and think he very well could beat Bernard i dont think Kessler would be able to cope well with Bernards dirty tactics...i think they would unravel him

 

Kessler can't get to Hops with just 1-2 and robotic movement.

Hopkins by 12 round schooling.

 

What about responsible defense and a sneaky uppercut?

After the way he dismantled Pavlik, I'll never write the guy off again. Hopkins via wide UD.

 

Kessler is extremely overrated. Hopkins would beat him down even in denmark. So convincingly, the dirty denmark judges would still score it for hopkins. Kessler is mid-level fighter at best. Froch and bute beat his ass as well.
