Kessler vs. Larsen closer than ever!

I can accept that Kessler takes this fight to get freed of his Palla contract. But after that there should be no excuse to no get a big fight against a named opponent like Taylor, Hopkins, Johnson, Bute, Froch, Calzaghe, Pavlik, Dawson...

 

To me it's good news, Kessler get out of his contract, and after the fight nobody in Denmark doubts who's the man.

 

You mean, after facing his next mandatory. WBA top 5 is: Perdomo, Bozic, Murat, Stieglitz and Sartison. Larsen comes at 6. I'm pretty sure it doesnt count for you as a big fight.

 

Exactly how i see it. After this fight, Kessler should sign with GBP or maybe Calzaghe promotions. GBP will soon lose two of there biggest draws Hopkins and DLH. Calzaghe would love to have Kessler on board his new promotions-team and take on Frank Warren and all the US critics.

GBP/Kessler or Calzaghe/Kessler would be lethal

 

Well just because the picture makes you feel gay doesn't mean that Kessler is...

 

Larsen has been in the Ring's top ten for as long as I can remember, so this fight is meaningful. I mean, he's done everything he was supposed to against Sartison and Haussler, so I can't really fault him, especially if more is to come. He's stretch Froch as soon as he gets the chance.

 

Well. At least Kessler would make more money fighting Larsen in Denmark than Johnson in the US. But it still annoys me...

 

That old greedy ******* should just **** off and stop stalling a great fighters career.

Well if the deal is that after the Larsen-fight Kessler is free of Palle, then it makes good sense for everybody.

As a poster on a danish site listed:

Palle: He gets to make the biggest fight in danish boxing ever - by far on his 75 year birthday and as a retiment fight. Cementing his place in boxing-history and making e good dollar doing so...

Kessler: Gets a good deal and is free of Palle to try and make his own luck in the US - hopefully with on of the big promotors - such as GBP

Larsen: 36 years of age gets a hudge payday - and with a good performance against Kessler a fight against Bute or Froch isn't unlikely.

And I just want to add that from a sports point of view this fight isn't half bad - and no where near what some people makes it out to be. Larsen is no Sartison/Häussler - he is levels above those two and a clear SMW top10 fighter.

Can't help hoping just a little bit that Larsen takes this one... just for the hell of it! :smoke

Could Kessler already have a new promotor in the states at hand?
It seems gutsy or stupid of Larsen to turn Bute down, he must feel pretty sure about this? I mean he has been screwed by Palle once! Could anything already be signed?

 

Haven't they been pussyfooting around this fight for over a year?

 

I suggest you track him down in an ally and ask him yourself. I'm sure you will get an answer. Maybe just not the one you are hoping for.
