Miranda wings his punches in a major way, Mundine would see them coming a mile off. Danny Green is/was a bigger threat to Mundine style wise because he throws a lot of straight punches, and that is the only way fighters will find Choc nowdays. He's a very good defensive fighter and very hard to hit flush on the chin, which is the only way Miranda could beat him. Kessler will beat Miranda to shreds also, too sharp, as opposed to Mirandas windmills.
Much can be said about Miranda - but one thing is for sure - he is levels above the opponents Mundine is fighting these days - so that fight isn't lightly to happen...
Mudine would be able to see most of Mirandas punches...but Miranda has a VERY good chin and Mudine isn't exactly a hard puncher. Mudine could out box Miranda and pull off a Decision, But I don't think Mudine could avoid Miranda for 12 rounds and not let one punch land...>All Miranda needs is one punch and if he could land on Arthur and Allan he can land on Mudine. You say Mudine is a good defensive fighter....I beg to differ...he's decent in "D" but utilizes his athletic ability to avoid offense coming his way. He has good refelexes and fast feet and good foot work to be able to avoid punches.
No doubt, and that's what is so frustrating from my point of view. A guy with a hell of a lot of talent wasting time with nothing fights when he's already 32...:-(
Donny McCrary could find Allen Greens jaw so thats no mean feat, how many fights of Mundine have you seen? I say that because he's rarely tagged by decent shots most are deflected by a shoulder or glove. Even if Edison could land it wouldn't be at full force ala Banks, most likely glancing blows, but in all honesty I've seen all of Mundines pro fights and the last seven of Mirandas and I just can't see it happening.
Even Kessler didn't tag him cleanly that often. That speaks volumes in itself. Why doesn't Mundine step it up again? I would love to see him take on some proper competition.
well just some competition would be nice ... this PPV sandbag-training is a vaste of time... And he calls himself "champion"! tsk tsk
He never will. The best you can hope for is him having a tough mandatory, or some quality manager hustling him for a hot prospect looking for a easy belt.
