[YT]JcWZR3CS8r0[/YT] [YT]lMs0ihAPMs8[/YT] Here's a good Kessler highlight and a portion of Monzon-Griffith 2, I think we assessed the comparison spot on. Monzon and Kessler can look ordinary to the general fan, but when studying the subtle elements, especially being that I myself have boxed, I just think to myself 'how the **** do you fight these guys, they make no tactical ERROR ever'.:yep Anyway, Monzon again for durability, Kessler for athleticism and technique, Monzon for timing, P4P Monzon for punching power and believe it or not, I'd go for Kessler in the sense of distance department and combination punching. Monzon for CHIN.
What's the terms. Which Kessler fight and which Bute fight and which Mundine fight do we use. How about we do Bika vs. Bute, then Kessler vs. Andrade. Then Berrio vs. Bute and Mundine vs. Green. Sound about right in opponent level comparison's?:think
Well...Bika and Berrio were Bute's most difficulat fights, so we have to pick those - especially the first rounds of Bika, where Bute has a very hard time and the first rounds of Berrio, where Berrio hits him hard; we should pick Kessler v. Calzaghe, I think, not against Andrade where he has a relatively easy time. Mundine also looks very well against a generally overrated Green, who really shouldn't even be compared to Kessler; for Mundine I would use the Kessler fight.

Stylistically Larouche is trying to make into a Euro-boxer stylist, even though I feel he's better as a workrate, pressure guy because his chin is very good and his speed is very good, he can also throw nice combinations. Anyway, from the vid's above, Bute makes Kessler, a fighter with only a few flaws, look like technical perfection, Andrade has a say in this also, but technically a good pressure guy should be able to get to a guy like Kessler if he was a notch lesser. Judging from above, Kessler's jab is harder, faster and more accurate, Kessler himself has a better punch variation and his timing is vastly superior, as is his defensive technique and foot movement. Punching power I'd say is about even, Kessler's punches aren't KO shots, but they are heavy handed damaging blows and the same goes for Bute, both guys can really **** somebody up badly in accumulation. Kessler's handspeed is better than Bute's, Kessler's offensive prowess is just several levels more confident as well, he can appear tenative, but in reality he is just a fighter that beautifully picks his shots well, where as Larouche has Bute fighting straight up tenative in an attempt to do this classic euro-boxer stylism. It's very clear that Bute is stylistically more in line with Kessler, just a lanky southpaw, instead of his lanky southpaw common comparison in Calzaghe. H2H, Kessler kills Bute as it stands NOW, I also think Andrade's a more potent fighter than Bika. Switch opponents and Bute has hell with Andrade and Kessler stops Bika in 6-7 in a display of beautiful pugilism. :good I also respect Bute more for the ability to take to give one and to dig deep, he's a top fighter, just not elite. My criticism's here are just to compare against the masterful Mikkel Kessler. It's funny, I almost enjoy watching Kessler more than I do Calzaghe, he's just such a scientific boxer.:yep
OUCH,,,,,Carlos Monzon must be turning in his grave....being compared to a straight up European fighter. Carlos Monzon = Danish PAstry .....somehow just doesn't sound right.
Mundine versus Green highlight(best I could find) - [YT]is98OtZSFKs[/YT] Bute versus Berrio(short highlight) - [YT]SrqEo0EvksA[/YT]
From those video's above, Mundine appears clearly superior in speed, defence, timing, moving, ring generalship and control. Mundine is always tenative, but Bute even in his highlight there appears more tenative. In comparing the opponents, Green is much sharper and much more intelligent, as well as having the better punch resistance. Could actually see Green defeating Bute, see Mundine schooling and KOing Berrio. BUT, Mundine may be declined since then judging from his recent fights and Bute still needs a ton of work. If I had to pick between Bute and Mundine, as they stand above, I'd pick Mundine 9-3ish decision, Bute getting shutout early and picking up some late rounds(Mundine fades and becomes ultra tenative).
The Berrio highlight is biased to Bute; please use the link I put up before.:good Also, don't use the Green video, because, honestly, I don't rate Green very much.
It's biased to Bute, but still shows flaws, just like Mundine's highlight still shows him being tenative when he could really be opening up on Green as he had his number that night. Only difference is Mundine looks greater defensively than Bute and much sharper offensively. What about Kessler to Bute?
He's a lot better than Berrio mate, watch the comparison vid's. He also just moved up and shutout a titlist, not a great one, but a titlist all the same. Couldn't see Berrio beating Drews.
It's clear you know nothing about danish pastry ... Kessler has a bodyfat % of 5 ... Pastry has a much higher fat% You don't seem to know much about boxing - and it's not looking too good when it comes to pastry either...
