I could beat the Drews fighting that night ... but other than that I agree Green is clearly better than Berrio.

 

Well, it doesn't matter what he is like now; I'm talking about his performance against Mundine; also, it's irrelevant whether he'd beat Berrio or anyone else; he just made Mundine look good because his performance wasn't that great; even when he looks dangerous, he's not effective, so Mundine feels very much at ease throughout.

Again, I'm assessing it a different way, given Monzon's height and reach advantage over his opponents, which was one of the things he used to time his opponents so well. Kessler rarely has these advantages against his opposition.

In a head to head sense, you could have a case for Kessler being on the same plane, but not better I wouldn't say. Monzon also proved he could time men his own size very well in guys like Valdez and Benvenuti. The younger Monzon that fought Benvenuti and Griffith(first fight) was actually better in my eyes than the less athletic version that most people view.

It was a marvel with his training methods and lifestyle how he managed to be so good even when most of his natural athleticism had gone down.

Well Kessler would hold a clear size advantage over Monzon - but so far I'd pick Monzon over Kessler too - but that's mainly because Kessler still needs to answer some questions - I think Kessler has the potentional to go beyond Monzon - but only time will tell - hopefully starting with Miranda-Kessler
