thing is JC vs KP will never happen.

BUt MK vs KP has a chance so this Jc vs KP thing doesn't matter anymore and JC fans should stop counting B-hop win as a win for JC. the fight never happened so the outcome doesn't matter just pure speculation. it is fun though

The thing that I always looked at with Pavlik/Calzaghe is that nearly everyone badly under rates Pavlik and Leow's ability to capatilize on an opponents mistakes and flaws. With Mckart; "Sneak a lead right up under his left elbow": fight over. Pavlik and Leow on Miranda: "He can't fight backin' up." Leow on Taylor: "It's a basic ****in' fight with this kid -- jab, right hand, simple!" (That was related to JT's low left, and habit of backing straight back.)

Joe has plenty of flaws and makes plenty of mistakes. The thing about JC is that he is tough, he always seems to be able to turn up the heat at just the right time, and he always seems willing to leave absolutely everything in the ring. I always thought it would be a great fight. We all know why it didn't happen.

I think Calzaghe would tear Pavlik a new one, he would be miles more dominated than against Hopkins. With a fresh Calzaghe stopping Pavlik.

However, we are in agreement I think as to why the fight never happend. Calzaghe never ever wanted to take it.

I look forward to Pavlik decimating Mora. :D

Some folks close to Kelly still give Bhop his dues for that night and wonder if Kelly could have beaten the version of Bhop that showed up that night. We will, of course, never know but I think it would have been a hell of a lot more competitive at the very least.

Kelly is quite an experienced fighter. Little doubt the the team does all they can in prep, but in the end, it is Kelly that has to figure out what he can do. How many fighters have we seen completely ignore their corner? Sometimes the perfect advice won't do it because there is a 'capability difference' in the fighters and no advice will help. Kelly wasn't physically able the night against Bhop to do much different I'm afraid. He said he had no "snap" on his punches and even when he finally caught Bhop flush, 'nothing'. I am not privy to what goes on in Kelly's training, but I doubt Jack and Kelly are the only once watching the film and giving input.

wow have you ever seen any of Joe's fights? a pressure fighter is all he is?
he gives more movement and angles then B-hop. is alot faster, then kp, is able to adjust mid fight to any style, can hit alot harder then people think, has a tramenous work rate, and not to mention has a solid chin with great recovery abilities.

an yes Kp did lose the fight to B-hop because of tactical reasons he didn't fight tall and didn't do the nesceary body work. he went straigh in and this is why he got cuaght by punches he should of beeen able to avoid had he implemented the proper strategy. it's also lowe's fault as the trainer it's his job to see these thing and give proper instructions not say " do what Calzaghe did" :-(

and who cares what lowe said about the miranda fight miranda is no Joe calzaghe please what is going on with your comaprrison either you don't know jack **** or your a biased poster and just don't like or appreciate JC for whatever reason :verysad

Pavlik/Mora is in Atlantic City. That means there is a good chance Smoger will ref. Now 196 me friend, think that through. Simply put, Sergio Mora will not be denied his opportunity to take a proper beating:yep

For the last time Calzaghe is not a pressure fighter! What! Do you think we're lying or something!?:patsch

And don't even bother with the chin malarky, there's nothing wrong with Calzaghes. He recovered very quickly after being clotheslined by RJJ! He wasn't put on ***** street by Jermain ****ing Taylor either!

Make me a list of all the fighters who survived the double jab/right hand:deal

And then make me a list of all the trainers who exhort their fighters to double up on the jab.

One of these lists is gonna be a helluva lot longer than the other. Can you guess which one?

Cobbler is just having a go at me. We do it all the time. I actually respect the guy as a poster.

The thing about the jab that a lot of people just do not get is that KP is a natural lefty. His jab is a power shot when he uses it that way, and when he does get the double jab/right hand going, the end is close, real close. That's part of the reason Jack stays on his ass about it. People acting like that's the only thing Jack ever says is just stupid.

Kessler is faster than Pavlik. Kessler has a better jab than Pavlik. Kessler has a solid guard. Kessler is a good counter-puncher. Kessler backs off at angles.

But, according to you, Pavlik loses 'cos he's unfit? :patsch

    Jesus.

Mate, for the last time, I never insulted Joe Calzaghe. The guy's a legend and is obviously a better fighter than Pavlik. But, stylistically, I don't think this fight is a foregone conclusion. You're just ****ing rambling like a troll about JC's attributes and how Loew's an apparently **** trainer.

As for the B-Hop fight, it was NOTHING to do with tactics. Pavlik just got his ass handed to him because in EVERY measure - speed, power, movement, agility, work rate etc. etc. etc. - B-Hop was better than him that night. That's got **** all to do with tactics.

wrong again. even when severly outmusceld, out skilled and out quiked. with the right game plan Kp could of beaten B-hop he just needed to fight the fight different instead of wht he does almost all the time. tactics have alot to do with it. with his conditioning he could of Jab,jab, jab. take a step back , jab , jab jab right hand circle to the right , he need to figth big and not small.

i never said you insulted Joe i simply asked if you had seen any of joe calzaghe's fights and posting videos of Kp beating Miranda , Zertuche and who ever else as proof that Kp can get the job done is insulting . your basicly putting joe on that level. when he doens't figth like them at all yes those 2 were pressure fighters but none aplly the type of pressure Joe does , nor the angles he apllies it from. they aren't as skilled as joe nor as quick or nimbled footed . so why post those videos?

and never did i say this fight was a forgone conclusion. i simply stated that Kp would need the Right game plans ( more then one in anticpating any mid fight adjustment by joe.) and a more conpedent trainer that could derive scuh strategies. Loew is good but he would be lost in a fight with joe C . any how take alook at the the 2 viet fights the brewer, and lacy fights. also recomended the Kessler, mitchell and bika fights

then come back and tell me he's just a pressure fighter
