Kessler vs Pavlik Who wins?

Today has been a rough day and although this message wasn't meant for me it has put a smile on my face. I can't wait to see Pavlik destroy the Latin Fake.

 

Obviously tactics are important, but I think Pavlik was out of the ring that night. Whether it was Hopkins' brilliance, Pavlik's inherent vulnerability to counter-punchers, bronchitis or whatever (I don't want to debate that) Pavlik was just out of it. He said it himself: "It just didn't feel like me in there." As I said before, it wasn't a few bits of technique that made B-Hop win. He was just superior on every level, and Pavlik looked lethargic and disinterested. Why do you think, after 8 rounds, Pavlik said "I'm trying!" and Loew replied "I know, kid."? It just wasn't Pavlik's night, for whatever reason. I don't see that as evidence that he's oblivious to tactics.

I wasn't implying any sort of equivalence between the likes of Zertuche and Calzaghe; that would obviously be insane. I was just responding to claims like "Pavlik has no power" "Pavlik has no endurance" etc.

I'm not saying Joe's a bad fighter. I'm not saying he's one-dimensional. The fact is, though, that all fighters have styles, and Calzaghe's is to come forward, throw flurries and combinations, be aggressive and outwork his opponents. I just see Pavlik as a nightmare, style-wise, for Calzaghe. If Pavlik comes out all-guns-blazing, Calzaghe wouldn't be able to walk forward like he normally does. He'd have to employ a lot more defence and avoid the bombs that Pavlik throws. As I've said before, Pavlik dismantles pressure fighters, and Joe is a pressure fighter. That's not a derogation or an insult; it's just a fact.

 

this is one of those fights that all the boxing fans want to see, but the promoters never match and the tv channels never talk about. But if it did. Kessler for me but it would be bombs away from both men. Both of them dont know how to work the body and hit hard and straight. A boxing fans dream. what a shame promoters are such greedy f***kers.

I guess one could call pav one dimensional, but to say he's "not that good" is like what. the.****???????????????????????????????

 

Joe doesn't always just come foward and if anything Joe also eats up pressure fighters like KP. sorry but his jab jab right hand straight movement foward would get him eaten up . and sorry to say joe apllys a different type of pressure then miranda,zuniga,zertuche, ect does. all you have do islook at his fight and there is a clear difference.

Pavlik is not that good ? how did you come to this conclusion and have you seen more then 3 of his fights?

 

Kessler is the bigger man and would easily dominate Pavlik who is ok but nought special. You have to bear in mind kessler is the bigger man and will trouble him. Look what hopkins did to him. Hopkins used to be a middleweight.
