First he have to dismantel Perdomo, then he can think of the SMW tournament, then he have to meet the most dangerus of them all, Ward in his backyard, if he manage this he'll clean out the rest:good

He must take Perdomo seriously. Things can happen quickly in boxing and especially with Kessler being virtually retired and making a come-back. How is he physically prepared? Does he have any timing? How is he mentally now that he has parted with the managed and promoter who found him? Many fighters have collapsed in such a situation - just think Tyson for one. And Kessler's split was a nasty one. This may be a big deal mentally as well.

I still think he will be too much for Perdomo, but the super-fights of the tournament looks like a very difficult proposition for Kessler - and Ward away is definitely a tough fight that will tell us how far or close Kessler is to being back.

even if he were to lose to perdomo (which even with ring rust is unlikley, and i am sure some nice home town judges and refs will be supplied in any case) i'd still want him in the tournament. bute aside who could replace him?
